I am the Managing Broker for the Gold Star Group Real Estate Professionals.  I am responding to a complaint submitted to the Revdex.com.  I have discussed this with my agent involved and with the Revdex.com.  Here is my position on this...

matter:  If you would like “to refuse permission for your home to be featured in further advertisement by this company”, then we will respect that request and no longer reference your home in any advertising.  Sending out “just sold” postcards is standard real estate business practice and is performed by many title companies and real estate companies.  Because Colorado is a disclosure state, anything that is recorded by the county is of public record.  The information that she sent out is of public knowledge.  The photo that was used is owned by my agent and her right to use.  My agent acted within her legal and ethical rights and was, once again, just using standard business practice.  I recommend doing a Google search on your address – there are hundreds, if not thousands, of companies using your property information for “monetary gain”.  It is not extraordinary.
 
I appreciate your concerns.  No further advertising (at least by MY company) will take place.  I have no control of anyone else.
