I wanted to ship my [redacted] from California to Michigan. I was quoted $895.00 I ask [redacted] if what I herd was true. I herd that she would Raise the price at the very last minute, she said that was not true. I agreed to raise the amount an extra $200.00 because of the extra parts in the bed of my truck, to make it more tempting to the driver. I was getting in my truck to drive home and not ship it when I received a call that she had a driver but the price is $100.00 more. When I said to her that you lied an you raised the price. She said that the driver said that he wanted $100.00 more. I ask the driver if he said that and he said no. and that the tall truck was better because it was a flat bed boat haler and he had to drive over the tires of the flat bed. the taller the better. and their were no weight restrictions because he only had two trucks on the trailer. She lied to me twice. I want the $100.00 back that she increased in price. But more important I want future people to know what she will do to get your business. I paid her $195.00 down payment with a gift card because I didn't want to give out my credit card number. I paid the driver $1000.00 on delivery. I should ask for the $300.00 back but the $100.00 and knowing other people might see the complaint and not use here.Product_Or_Service: truck shippingDesired SettlementReturned check of $100.00 Business Response In response to the complaint filed by my client- I am a dispatch service that arranges transport of residential vehicles. Price was arranged and vehicle dispatched per order and when the carrier arrived the client had 400lbs of additional tools and items in the bed of the truck. Increased pricing was between carrier and client. Gold Star Transport fulfilled order according to contract. We regret that the client feels he was overcharged by carrier but was not overcharged by Gold Star.[redacted]Consumer Response She flat out lied and increased the amount at the last minute.
