GOLDSTRIKE CASINO,TUNICA
It is with great regret that I am writing this,,, We were there Sat night Aprill 28 for the drawing for the car ,thinking we might have a fair chance .,needless to say I was wrong,,
The ones I talked to that got freeplay and even the one that won the car were high rollers,,,we are not but hate that its conducted in such a way that a small time player doesn't have a dogs chance, I had 100 entries and might as well not had any... I thought you were an honest casino but I was wrong,,,, I once was getting $125 2 times a month , now next month I will get $ 30 each time,,,, in March I won a jackpot of $2400 ,,, played it all back , yes played it all back and you give me $30 freaking x 2...this sucks,,, so we are through ,, if spending back $ 2400 can't get me at least $150 the you won't see us anymore,,,, probably no one will read this or even care I am sure,,,, plus when we come we spend $200 to $ 400 and nothing from you,,, we spend our hard earned money and no thanks what so ever,,, Well we will find another casino

Gold strike sends monthly news letters offering complimentary hotel rooms. Hotel rooms are never available when booking.Since being an M Life Member of MGM Gold Strike in [redacted] I have received monthly news letters with advertised offers for a free complimentary hotel room each month at the Gold Strike Casino. I have never been able to redeem this offer. On over 7 occasions I have called and requested to use my complimentary hotel room and each time I am told there are no rooms available except those at a discounted rate for the specific date I request. When I ask to book a room on the next available complimentary date I am told by the operators that they have no way of knowing which days have available rooms to use the complementary offer on and that I must present a date. On one occasion I literary started on the 1st of the month and worked my way to the 30th of the month and for each date was told there were no more complimentary rooms available for each day but was continuously offered a discounted rate. When asked to explain how all complimentary rooms can be booked for the entire month by the time I receive the newsletter/email I am not provide an answer. On 6/7/2014 I attempted to book a room for 6/13/2014 and was told a room was available for $139.00. I told the operator I would take that room. When asked how I would be paying I advised the operator I would be using my complimentary room offer and could provide a credit card to hold the room. The operator paused, said there was a glitch in the system and that the room I was offered was no longer available but that she could offer me a different room at a reduced rate but that I could not use my complimentary offer on this room. I asked to speak to a manager. The manager claimed that there are no rooms available on this date for comps but that she could offer me a reduced rate. I asked the manager how it was possible that over the last 7 months there haw never been any rooms available to use my comp on. The manager stated that 65% of hotel rooms at gold strike are for comp and stated 45% were for purchase (65+45=110%). I asked the manager at what percent capacity was the hotel for the night of 6/13/2014. she stated she did not know but could assure me it was well over the 65%. She stated that May to September was the busy season and they would always be at capacity. I was told in December that that was the busy season due to the holidays when I attempted to book a complimentary room in December. In February I was told that was the busy season from February to April due to tax season and tax refunds and so that is why comp rooms were hard to come by during this date . Today I was told it was the summer time that made the complimentary rooms unavailable. I asked the manager who I could speak to that was responsible for organizing and tracking the available comp rooms to which she stated she did not know but to try the ** state revenue office. I asked the manager if she could provide me any proof to substantiate the claims she had made in regards to percentages, room availability or hotel capacity. She stated that information wasn't available to her but still tried to push me for a "discounted" room rate. It is clear that Gold Strike Tunica has no intent on providing the free complimentary hotel rooms as advertised in the monthly news letters but instead uses this tactic as a scam to have patrons call to reserve a room and inform them that although the complimentary rooms are not available discounted rooms are. Gold Strike has continued to falsely advertise an offer they can not or will not provide. If this issue is not resolved I plan on contacting the[redacted] Attorney General's Consumer Protection Division as well as the[redacted] Gaming Commission to report fraudulent gaming/hotel management practices. Desired SettlementProvide a complimentary room in accordance with the news letter which states I have 2 free nights from June 1-15 Sunday Through Friday. I am requesting in accordance with this offer that I receive a complimentary room for 6/13/2014 at the Gold Strike Hotel as it is within the advertised dates. Business Response Good Morning, Thank you for the information you provided regarding Mr. [redacted]'s Revdex.com case. I have attached a copy of our apology letter to Mr. [redacted]. I have also called Mr. [redacted] twice at the number provided on his case [redacted]. He did not answer but I left two voicemails with my contact information and a brief apology. I have also mailed the attached letter to the address provided on his case. Is there anything further that you suggest I do to resolve this matter? Could you please add this information to his case or send me the link to his Revdex.com information? I look forward to hearing from you soon. Warm regards,[redacted]Regional Guest Experience Specialist [redacted] Gold Strike[redacted]@beaurivage.com Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)Response does not address the complaint, nor does it attempt to resolve it. A generic apology letter that doesn't even address the issue will not suffice. Final Business Response Hi, I see that Mr. [redacted] has offered a rebuttal. I have called the guest multiple times because unfortunately we cannot discuss the guest's Casino play or M life offers via email or letter due to Gaming Commission/ legal reasons. All of our offers have a disclaimer that lists 'subject to availability'. I am very sorry for his disappointment. I also reached out to our Customer Care Revenue Manager who went in depth a little further. Please see his response below. I will be happy to go over this with the guest if you can please refer him to me. I will also mail him a second more in dept apology offering him a two night complimentary stay. I look forward to hearing from you soon, Warm regards,[redacted]Regional Guest Experience Specialist[redacted] Gold Strike[redacted]@beaurivage.com [redacted], After reviewing this customer's complaint, I've determined that he would have been asked to pay $29 on Friday, June 13, 2014. The $139 rate he mentioned would have been the prevailing rate had we been in high band, and probably was not offered to him. Had he called approximately 1 week sooner, he would have had the room comped. Further, he stated that : [redacted] For the month of June, he was a segment 8 ($125+), meaning that no weekday he would have been turned away. For most months he was a segment 10 ($75+), meaning that almost all weekdays he would get it, and if he called for Fridays, they could no longer have comp rooms available based on when he's calling. All of our offers say "based on availability" in the disclaimer, and unfortunately when a guest calls last minute, they're often asked to pay. To resolve this matter, I would offer the guest any Friday he would like, with the exception of 7/4, and inform him that our offered are always based on availability and to book as soon as he gets them. Thanks, [redacted]MGM Resorts International Mississippi Operations
