Sent: Tuesday, July 21, 7:AM To: drteam Subject: RE: Revdex.com of Houston and South Texas- Complaint regarding Your Business #*** Good morning, The Complaint #*** was resolved to the satisfaction of the *** Family. We communicated with the
sister of Mr*** (resident) who communicated with her brother Mr*** (complaint) and had arrangements made for a second bother to pickup the check The issue was the original mailing and check was addressed to the Business Office Manager, MsDoris M***; it was not addressed to the resident. *** *** *** *** honors and respects the resident’s rights including, but not limited to, opening private mail. Because the letter was addressed to my staff, we opened the envelope. The issue of what happened to the letter is unknown. Neither the resident nor the office has the letter and the brother was informed. The circumstance surrounding the check and subsequent refund was an error of communication on our part. We have since provided the family with the check and it was picked up on I, as the administrator, have personally talked with Mr*** (complaint) and to the sister to resolve the issue. I believe the family is satisfied with the resolution and Mr*** (resident) is doing well in our facility Should you have any additional questions or concerns, please contact me directly Sincerely, Steve Stephen DK*** *** *** Administrator *** *** * *** *** *** *** *** *** ** ***

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.
Sent: Wednesday, July 22, 2015 6:25 AM To: drteam <[email protected]> Subject: RE: You have a New Message from Revdex.com Regarding Complaint #[redacted]   Thank you for addressing my complaint #[redacted] which has been partially resolved. I agree that the Nursing Home communicated with me and the [redacted] family. They did refund the money sent to my brother and wrongly cashed by the facility. I thank Mr. Stephen K[redacted] and the Revdex.com for addressing that part of my complaint. Regarding the addressee on my letter, the information Mr. K[redacted] has is absolutely untrue. When I wrote the letter, I had no idea that someone by name Doris M[redacted] works at [redacted] and had no need or desire to send the letter I wrote to my brother, to her attention. I personally addressed and mailed the envelope to my brother at [redacted]. The letter was wrongly opened, the money order removed and likely the letter to my brother discarded by the Nursing Home. I say this because my brother called me several times to say that he did not receive my letter or the money order. I only discovered that the money order was cashed by the Nursing Home after I paid the post office to provide me a copy of the deposited money order. I have not received any explanation about why Doris M[redacted] opened this piece of private mail or seen any evidence that corrective action has been taken to make sure that residents rights are respected regarding private mail and appropriating money without their consent. I would appreciate if this very important part of the complaint is also addressed.   Sincerely,   [redacted]
