Review: I went to the above listed store to shop for groceries. I picked up a jar of Hellman Mayonaise because I had a 50 cents coupon. The mayo cost $2.99 for a 30 ounce jar. However, when I tried to use the manufacturer's coupon it wouldn't go through. The clerk called the manager to find out why and I was told that if an item is on sale, you cannot use a coupon. This defeats the purpose of shopping for sale items with coupons. Is this permitted or legal for this store to do that? I have never been to a supermarket or a food warehouse such as BJs or Costco (who are supposingly warehouses) where coupons were not allowed when they have store discount coupons and NOT BE ABLE to use my manufacturer coupons. Well I'm done shopping there. This store just opened two to three weeks ago in the Castle Hill section of the Bronx where everyone shops for bargains and more discounts with their manufacturer coupons. I would appreciate a response as to the rights of the store to refuse coupons when items are on sale.
