Review: On January 12 2014 I requested emergency service to repair a broken pipe that was caused by freezing. The pipe broke and released enough water to leave about an inch of standing water in our basement. Golden Heating & Plumbing came out that evening to repair the pipe at a cost of $413.25. The plumber sent instructed me how to drain this pipe and directed me to keep the pipe disconnected until the weather warmed up. Fast forward to May 22 2014. I reconnected this pipe the water the lawn after more than a week of 70+ degree weather. On Friday May 23, I returned home and found water dripping from the ceiling in the basement (near where the previous damage had occurred. I also saw where previous repairs had been made bubbling out from obvious water leakage inside the wall. After several conversations with my insurance company on June 2 2014 we called Golden Heating & Plumbing to explain what happened. They agreed to come out and look at it on the same day. A different plumber was sent and he very professionally diagnosed the problem. A 90 degree elbow had a hairline crack in it mostly likely caused by freezing. The plumber repaired the pipe without providing any kind of quote. Once the repairs were complete the plumber told me that his supervisor was forcing him to charge me. I was billed $179.24 for repairs associated with the previous damage that were not repaired correctly. In addition, the previous negligence has resulted in significant water damage on both the previously repaired wall and the ceiling.Desired Settlement: I would like a refund of both the $179.24 charged on 6/2/2014 and the $413.25 billed on 1/12/14. The work performed on 1/12 did not sufficiently resolve the problem. The work performed on 6/2 was a result of negligence from 1/12 which consequently caused me hundreds of dollars in additional damages.
