Refund not received as promisedOn 3/26/15 ia representative of golden rule told me that my central unit would need a new compressor and he would check to see if the unit was still under warranty. He said the service charge on 3/26/15 was $65.00 and I could pay then or wait for the installation of the new compressor but after phoning someone outside decided it would be better to get payment then which I did. After waiting several hours on 43/27/15 for a reply on my compressor warranty, I called Mr. [redacted] an was told that my compressor was not under warrenty and that there was only a 1 year warrenty and that he had replaced it 2 years ago and that his employee would be calling soon with a price for replacement, which he did at $1400.00. I then called the company that made my unit and was told 1. It was in fact under warrenty. 2. Mr [redacted] nor any representative of Golden Rule never replaced a compressor in the past. I then had to call another central unit repair company which repaired the unit for another service charge and labor cost. The part was under warrenty so that was no charge. I called Mr. [redacted] on 3/31/15 to let him know that due to the indifferences in the issue I would only expect him to refund my $65.00 to which he agreed but as of 4/13/15 there has been no refund. On 3/31/115 he said he would bring it to my house then txt me back and said he couldn't get by but would mail it that day. On 4/8/15, I sent him a text to let him know I had not received it still. He verified my address and said again it had been sent. On 4/9/15, text him that there was still no refund check to which I have had no response as of 4/13/15.Desired SettlementA refund in the amount of $65.00.Business Response Ms. [redacted] has received a refund as promised to her. The check has cleared the bank. Ms. [redacted] was given the same information we were given by our equipment supplier. The supplier came back and explained there was error in the system and the compressor was under warranty and they apologized. We communicated all the information to Ms. [redacted] as soon as we were made aware of the information. We had done work for Mr. [redacted] on the air conditioner in previous years. We have done everything possible to accommodate Ms. [redacted].
