Resort's website does not accurately reflect the living conditions at their Lodge Unit. Cosmetically, there is only wood paneling, no fireplace and the unit is not reflective of the pictures. It is not worth the $1,000/week.
However, that was the least of our concerns. The Lodge would fill with smoke from the outside fire pit below every time a fire was lit along with the vapors of diesel fuel that was used to start the fire (even with the windows closed). The smoke alarms appeared outdated, no carbon monoxide alarm was noticed. The balcony area had loose and rotting boards that were a safety hazard and the docks on the lake were not sturdy and felt "spongy" under your feet. The fire pit is located 10-15 feet from the building structure. The wiring to the structure was wrapped around several trees before attaching to the Lodge Unit and did not appear to be grounded. The second bedroom smelled of cat urine. The resort did have a nice play area for kids and that is where we spent majority of our time along with going on day trips. We ended the vacation early and will not be back to this "resort".
