Golden Sands Truck and Trailer Reviews (%countItem)

I had brought my truck to them to work on. I asked them if they can work on a hydraulic system and they told me they can so I let them work. After months of waiting they got what then can installed and didnt get the hydraulic system working properly when I picked it up. I ended up taking the truck to another company to find out they had hooked up things wrong and used the wrong parts so I had to have everything redone. So I brought this up to them and they said the would pay me back but they wanted to complain first to the company they bought the parts from and since then I havent gotten paid back or no results have happened. Its been since December when I brought this up to them. I call about every other week or a little longer to hear if anything has happened and I get the same result that he is still trying to argue with the other company.

We have since talked to this customer several more times and we have offered him ½ of his money back and he refused that offer stating “it has to be ¾ or nothing”. As far as we are concerned without talking to or seeing the other person(s) billing and finding out what exactly was done to the vehicle the best we can offer this customer back is ½ of what he paid us. We have no way to recoup the cost of the pump that he returned to us since we did not remove it the company that we purchased it from will not accept it back. The company that we bought it from still states that this was the right part for this vehicle. As far as we are concerned this offer is fair and we have concluded our business with this customer as he will not accept the offer or give us the requested information that we need to peruse this any further.***PresidentGolden Sands Truck & Trailer, Inc.

Revdex.com:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.First off let me give you the other companies phone number it is ***. His name is ***. Second I would have never said that was not my busy season I might not have rushed the job but im a tree guy summer is our busy season plus I didnt contact you after I left because of a large storm that hit the plover area which I became very busy with a truck I couldnt even use after I left your shop. You knew when I left the outriggers didnt work and the extenda boom didnt work that well either thats why you told me to take it to another shop to have them heat it up to retract the outriggers. I did ask you before I gave you this job if you could handle it and know what to do. With you having to ask other companies just how to do it shows you didnt know what you were doing and it was over your head. So instead of spending $5700 of my money to do something that you ended up making worse I do find it fair to get back at least 3/4 of the bill. And just letting you know when I call your company and tell your secretary to have you call me back and it takes you weeks to call me back is not a great way to keep me in the loop. Also you did wreck the pressure regulator on the control block because of how you hooked it up. And I did bring the truck to you to show you what was done and how you hooked things up wrong. So I want to work this out give me a call and give Alex a call or call the other guy who helped him which is *** his number is *** he knows what all the problems where he wouldnt know all of what the price was that went into the redo since he was just a helping hand if the main guy needed it. And I guess he did the taking off of the pto and pump. So lets get this solved if we have to take this to court I will do so but in that case I will be sueing for the whole bill and the broken part so I guess the ball is in your court now.

Regards

8. With the cost for the pump and PTO of $ 1305.76 and the offer of one half of your money back which would be $ 2881.17 that equals $ 4186.93. There is also a cost for labor that needs to be addressed in this equation as well. The amount of time to put the PTO and pump on was 10 hours @ $ 95.00 per hour equals $ 950.00, that brings the total to $ 5136.93. You spent $5762.34 on the work that was done with us and three quarters of that would be $ 4321.75, from the figure(s) above we feel that half of your money back is justified at this point in time. If you do not want half of your money back and wish to pursue other avenues that’s entirely up to you.

So I sent you the invoice but its not a detail one just says parts and labor and cost. The guy I had do it didnt give me a full detail to every part and what he did with a story given. Thats why I said it would be longer then 24 hours. Which I find funny since last I talked to you was 2 weeks ago and you wouldnt call me back or anything. But with you build if you would call the guy I had given you his number you would find out why even if I did remember to call you back with me dealing with a storm of the size for a TREE COMPANY which is extremely busy. He would explain that how you had the hoses for size and postion running from tank to pump was not right. They never did torch the outriggers cause once it was hooked up properly with the right size of hoses everything worked as it should. And with the truck running at idle you know it wasnt at idle to run the crane when I left there. You knew we had to run it at 3000+ rpm to get it to move just a little. And how could hoses be hooked up to the relief control valve if there where wasnt anything hooked up. Thats why I brought the truck to you to hook it up for hydraulics to a pto and pump. So it needed hoses and I have downloaded and looked at the schematic. And it shows how to hook it up and where ive looked now at lots of different hydraulic control banks and they have a feed in area and a relief control port so it isnt hard to see that you never looked at how to hook it up just looked and saw something you didnt know and just said it should work. Even if the pto and pump where right tho you had the wrong hoses in the first place so that could be a reason the pump is shot did you ever have it tested I bet it was shot. Since you havent said that im guessing it is and that would be a problem. So if I wouldve brought it back all you wouldve done is slap anpther pump on and give it back. You dont know what hose size to put on how would you fix the problem. Yes I understand companies talk to others about parts and what not but the fact you said to me on the phone many times you where consulting with them with all of the things to hook up and how everything you put on is the biggest and greatest. How is a 3/8 hose for a return line the biggest you could do when return lines are supposed to be minimal the same to 1.5 times bigger then the feed line. I know the tank was in a weird postion but if you didnt spot that being a problem in the first place then you dont know anything about hydraulic system. Im not saying im an expert thats why I took the truck in. But with what ive been told with how the other guys redid what you done it sounded like you where way in over your head with this project and like I said before this project if you knew what to do and it shows you didnt. So with the money concerns 1/2 is really low offer. 3\4 is a fair offer. But before I take this to court ill give you one more offer if I can get at least 2\3 of the bill back I wont take this to court you still get around your 2000 for labor and ill get some of my money back on a job that shouldve been not started when I asked if you knew what you where doing.
