Golden Shears Coors Blvdn.wAlb.N.MRevdex.com: Concerning complaint I.D [redacted] A guest apparently came in to our salon on Christmas Eve last year looking for a last minute gift for his wifeHe purchased a gift certificate for a discounted amount for services that recently we stopped providingOver the some years of doing business we have learned that husbands selecting services for their wives is always a tricky propositionWe have also learned, and this is industry wide in our business, that husbands purchase the gift certificate and wives pay the credit card billsHence around the Holidays we always have wives who attempt to return gift certificates hoping for a cash refundFor this reason on the front of the certificate we state NOT Redeemable for cashSecondly we always let the husbands know that the certificate is always good for ANY service or product purchase in our salonThis is to allow the wife to use the gift for whatever she may want not just what he thinks she may wantHaving said this I have been to stores such as [redacted] 's, all the way to [redacted] and if they no longer have an item that was purchased with a gift card the consumer is always welcome to use the gift for any purchase, not the money backWith all this in mind we always offer the guest credit for any service in our salonThat we should be treated differently than any other establishment because we are a small business makes no senseWe can argue this point all day but the fact remains that the gift certificate states our policy very clearlyWe have offered Mrs [redacted] this same courtesy and were told that she was unhappy with a previous employee, that is no longer with us, we welcomed her to work with a stylist she had worked with previously with great results, or the amount of AVEDA hair care products in returnAgain we have made every effort on our part to resolve this issue amicablyWe have been in business for over years with this same policy and have always come to a satisfying conclusion for all of our guests; we would like to do the same for Mrs***Respectfully, Joseph S [redacted] GOLDEN SHEARS HAIR SALON, Owner
