At Golden Touch cleaners we take every complaint seriously and try to work it out in the best possible way,experience has proven that a zipper would not break easily just for cleaning the garment no to mention all the precautions that we take,this is something that we wanted to let her know,we clean a lot of garments that don't come out with broken zippers,having said that,we agreed to replace the zipper and told her that it would be ready in a week but we would call her if we could get it done sooner.The coat was done on Thursday the ***,then when we were going to call her we realized that our system did not show the last two digits of her phone number,so we thought that we would wait until Saturday for her come,but she never showed up,so she can come anytime she wants to get it.We apologize for any inconvenience,if you have any questions you can call us at ###-###-####

Review: On 1/*/15 I dropped off a coat to be dry cleaned. Ms. K** examined the coat for damages, and then having found none, wrote up a pick up ticket for me. I picked up the coat on 1/*/15. When I got home, I took it out of the bag and tried it on. It was then that I noticed that the bottom stop of the zipper was missing and as a result the pull tab came off. I immediately returned to the cleaners with the coat. Ms. K** ignored me while I was standing right in front of her, avoiding eye contact. When I finally got her attention I showed her the broken zipper and said that I wanted them to replace it.

She said that it was an old coat and that the zipper had just worn out, so it was not their fault it had broken. I told her that it was a high-end coat that was only a few months old, so it was not worn out. I insisted that she fix the coat. She replied that I had brought the coat in with the zipper already broken. I told her that was not true, and that she had examined the coat and not found anything wrong with it. She said that she forgot to examine the coat before taking it from me. I told her that was not true. She went to get an older [redacted] man, whom I assume is Mr. K**.

He insisted that it was an old coat, which was why the zipper broke. When I told him it was a new coat, he said that I should ask the manufacturer to give me a new one. I refused. I said that since my coat had been damaged while under their care, I wanted them to replace the zipper. He refused, and walked away from me.

I repeated to Ms. K** that I wanted the zipper replaced. After going back and forth, she finally said that she would try to fix the zipper by next week, and that she would call me to tell me the status of the coat. I said that I wanted to hear from her by 1/**/15. I have not heard from her or anyone at Golden Touch Cleaners.

On the social rating site, [redacted], several people state that their clothing was damaged while at Golden Touch Cleaners, and that the owners always refuse to make things right for their customers. They refuse to give refunds or repair damage that they've caused.Desired Settlement: I want a new zipper to be put on my coat to replace the damaged one.

If they cannot replace the zipper, then I want them to pay me the replacement cost of the coat. I have ads of 3 similar coats from the same manufacturer. The coats are currently on sale and their price are $250-400. Once the sale is over, the regular price of these coats is $410-690.
