This business did not notify that they were an out of network provider for my daughters insurance. The PCP requested Bloodwork to rule out a blood clot due to shortness of breath. The emergency room doctor did not examine her but the lab was performed. My household was mailed and out rages amount for the bill. I was not present to consent for my daughter’s treatment. Her grandmother was with her.
We at Golden Triangle Emergency Center will always err on the side of patient safety regardless of a patients ability to pay. In this case we had signed consent by the patients grandmother and the good judgment of the patients own personal physician who referred her directly to our facility from his office because he was afraid she had an immediate life threatening situation.
