Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: They claim that they made an adjustment to my accountThis is true, but the adjustment had to do with a clerical error on their partThey did not offer any assistance in movingMy point was that I have had this storage unit for almost years and now I have a sudden charge to move outI would think that the business closing should offer some assistance in this regardThere was no assistance of this sort and the adjustments made had nothing to do with thisThere was a running clerical error of a charge that should have been $being billed at $and that was fixed This is the message I received: [redacted] , You were correct We have made the correction on your account Your balance has been adjusted and is now $Thank you for your patienceI don't feel that the idea that the fact that this decision is costing storage owners money out of their own pockets has been properly acknowledged hereI also don't think they acknowledged that their letter to storage owners was not transparent and made us feel as if we had done something wrongOf course, I would like it if they were to pay for the move, as they are the impetus for itAt the very least, I would like to company to review their actions again Regards, [redacted]

its subsidiaries (“Suddath”) in response to the Complaint In the Complaint, *** *** alleges that she engaged Suddath and its predecessors to provide transportation, storage, and/or other related services (the “Services”). *** *** expresses frustration regarding a billing dispute relating to her account and the Services. *** *** also contends that, in light of Suddath’s business decision to close the facility in which *** ***’s goods are stored, Suddath should provide her with some type of financial assistance or otherwise facilitate the transfer of her goods to a new service provider for continued storage Suddath’s Accounts Receivable team has worked with *** *** to adjust her account balance in accordance with applicable, contractual terms and has otherwise addressed and resolved the billing dispute Upon inquiry from *** ***, Suddath personnel confirmed the closure of Suddath’s operation in *** *** and suggested that *** *** engage other local moving and storage service providers for the continued storage of her goods. To Whom It May Concern,   This response is tendered on behalf of Suddath Van Lines, Inc. (“Suddath”) in response to the Complaint.   Suddath continues to provide moving and storage services for military member, [redacted], and his family.  [redacted] is looking to receive a direct...

cash transfer for inconvenience caused by a delay in the delivery of his shipment, a portion of which has already been delivered to him.  [redacted] is also seeking confirmation regarding the delivery date for the remainder or “overflow” portion of his shipment.   Although Suddath denied [redacted]’s request for compensation for pain and suffering purportedly stemming from the inconvenience caused by the delay in delivery of his shipment, Suddath offered to reimburse [redacted] for select dining expenses incurred outside of his destination city. In order to compensate [redacted] for such dining expenses, Suddath will need a print out of [redacted]’s credit card statement or other documentation to validate the expenses.  Suddath requested this documentation from [redacted] and is awaiting responsive information from [redacted]. The overflow portion of [redacted]’s shipment has an estimated time of arrival to the destination agent between June 13, 2017 and June 15, 2017. Suddath is in the process of prearranging a delivery to [redacted] and is actively communicating and coordinating with him regarding his shipment and its delivery. I am rejecting this response because: They claim that they made an adjustment to my account. This is true, but the adjustment had to do with a clerical error on their part. They did not offer any assistance in moving. My point was that I have had this storage unit for almost 40 years and now I have a sudden charge to move out. I would think that the business closing should offer some assistance in this regard. There was no assistance of this sort and the adjustments made had nothing to do with this. There was a running clerical error of a charge that should have been $60 being billed at $80 and that was fixed.  This is the message I received:[redacted], You were correct.  We have made the correction on your account.  Your balance has been adjusted and is now $105.90. Thank you for your patienceI don't feel that the idea that the fact that this decision is costing storage owners money out of their own pockets has been properly acknowledged here. I also don't think they acknowledged that their letter to storage owners was not transparent and made us feel as if we had done something wrong. Of course, I would like it if they were to pay for the move, as they are the impetus for it. At the very least, I would like to company to review their actions again.
