I recently completed a remodeling project in Benicia, CA using Goldcrest Designs to update a 1940's cinderblock home To say that the project was a challenge is an understatement However, Jim Pawloski and Goldcrest Designs did a super job
Jim was punctual, dependable and forthright I appreciated that he was realistic and didn’t sugar coat what needed to be done and especially what couldn’t be done within my budget
During construction, he kept me well informed with photos and progress reports
Although it is a small house, it presented a huge job with every subsystem from electrical to plumbing to gas to waste water being updated and the entire kitchen being moved to a room whose only utility when we started was electrical Jim had to be part sleuth figuring out where and how things were plumbed, wired and vented, part adventurer deciding how to get from where the house was when we started to how I wanted it at the end, and part miracle worker handling all the surprises the house threw at him
When unexpected challenges arose, Jim handled them swiftly and confidently always aware of cost and time constraints His crew was equally professional and caring I felt Jim provided quality work at a fair price in a timely manner Anyone lucky enough to use him won't be disappointed
