I received a new refrigerator late in my lease. It was located near my toaster oven, and the oven left a small smoke stain on the refrigerator side, approximately 5"x 10". Goldleaf deducted $450 for a new refrigerator from my security deposit for this.

I would not have objected to twenty dollars worth of appliance paint and an hour or two of labor. However, it was shocking to find that my $600 deposit had been reduced to $50, especially when I am known as "Mr. Clean" among my friends.

Review: Received a letter promising to lower rent $100 if done by July 1. Brought the letter in. Discussed our options and agreed to renew for another year.

We received a letter dated June 16 stating that the market value has gone up to from what we currently pay $1399.00 to $1499.00. Our contract expires August 31 but if we renew by July 1 we would pay $1299.00 which is a $100 decrease. We received our new lease and it stated $1399.00. I discussed this with the property manager herself. Today I bring in the lease and she pulled the letter stating it was a typo and now we have only a few days to decide if we want to stay here. Typo or not I have a letter stating if we renewed by July 1 it would be $1299. Despite what it may say on Revdex.com they do exist in many multiple locations in WI.
