At the time of the initial estimate/measuring for our lawn care needs Mr. [redacted] was a very polite man. He stated that we need not pay him if we were not happy with his work and that he guaranteed the sod. If anything were to happen to the solid sod he installed it would be replaced. He used green spray paint to indicate how far our rock garden needed to come out from the trunk of the tree. Upon installing it, it was approx 18" shorter than the green paint line. Mr. [redacted] got visibly and audibly upset and argued with us. Then he tried to roll the sod in the dark. We asked him to come back in the morning b/c he couldn't see what he was using just by the flashlight on his cell phone. When the work was complete we asked him to put the guarantee on the final invoice. He re-worded the guarantee that we would pay for any new sod required and he would do the labor for free. He also stated that we must water as stated in his directions. This was not a part of the verbal guarantee he gave us at the initial visit. Mr. [redacted] got so upset that he picked up a gasoline can from his truck and proceeded to enter our back yard. When asked what he was doing, he stated he was going to "take care of this problem". We paid him and asked him to leave the premises.
