Gold's Gym Ashburn

Review: I have documented over 8 times that I have attempted to cancel my monthly recurring subscription (which is considered out-of-contract term at this time) over the phone, through a 3rd party via phone, and to an email address provided by Gold's Gym of [redacted]. They have refused to cancel my subscription and have continued to attempt to invoice at an even higher billing rate due to forcing their billing company to remove my credit card from being on-file with them.

After the first attempt to cancel via phone, I started logging the requests which were as follows:

During the last call to Gold's Gym, [redacted], who is responsible for the Gym's accounting advised that I should send an email to her at

[redacted]. I sent two subsequent emails stating my intent to cancel and documenting all of the above information as previous attempts to cancel. She refused to confirm receipt of these email messages and had their billing company, ABC Financial, send me an invoice for $29.95 (a higher billing rate!)

I have never in my life had a business so reluctant to close such as a small account, especially from such a loyal customer. I was one of their first registrations at the [redacted] location when they first opened their doors. Unbelievable.Desired Settlement: My account should have been closed after the first call to request cancellation, which was 5/4/2013. I should have a refund for any payments collected since this date and my account should be closed as requested.
