I have reviewed the offer made by the business in reference to complaint ID[redacted], and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me. I will wait for the business to perform this action and, if it does, will consider this complaint resolved. If the company does not perform as promised I can get back to you at: [redacted]

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the offer and/or response made by the business in reference to complaint ID 10761055, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.I have no records of any of these phone calls until the one made on 8/11.  I would have paid it earlier if they actually contacted me. Golds Gym should make it protocol to get updated information when a customer is discontinuing service with them for future billing.  For me to consider this resolved, I need clarification from Golds Gym that they never reported this incident to the Credit Agencies.  If they did, they need to inform the Credit Agencies that the account has been paid and is satisfactory.  It was unclear how he worded it that "the later payment has not been reported to Credit Agencies". Thank you.

Review: I cancelled my membership due to moving. I had a "written notice" letter to give to the company when I came in person to cancel and they declined to need it. It had a forwarding address for my new location. Today, 8/11/2015, I receive a collections call regarding my canceled membership and the fees that I needed to pay. Very unhappy that I was not informed of any delinquency prior to this phone call. I never got a phone call or a piece of mail stating I owed money. The card I had on file with Golds Gym was cancelled due to me moving. I have since paid to balance due, but if it went to collections, I would suspect that I now have a negative post on my credit history.Desired Settlement: I would like for Golds Gym to confirm that they have not reported the late payment to my credit report or that they will correct the information sent to the credit report.

Response:

Revdex.com spoke with a representative from the business who confirmed that the account was cancelled, but that the last payment that was in collections was for the 30 day notice. The last bill date was 6/1, which apparently did not go through apparently because the credit card had been changed. He stated that collection calls were made on 6/11, 6/15, 6/19, 6/24, 6/29. He stated a letter was mailed on 7/2 but may not have been received since they did not have the customer's updated address in their system. He stated that the payment was received on 8/12, and the later payment was not reported to credit agencies.

Review: I have been trying to cancel my gym membership as well as my fiance's for months now. The first time I called and they said sure come in and we can get it cancelled. We went there that night and they said we were not allowed to cancel without a manager present. Went back another night and was told the same thing, but that he would be there from 10am-6pm M-F. We both work full-time jobs no where near where this gym is located and do not get back into [redacted] until about 6:30-7PM depending on traffic. I have e-mailed this manager twice now and no response. I want my membership cancelled now! I was also told I could cancel whenever I please with NO cancellation fees, but now they are saying I have to pay this and I have to pay that. This is ridiculous!! Worst business ever!!!!Desired Settlement: I want my contract cancelled as well as my fiance's and I don't want them to charge me another penny!!! I am sick and tired of waiting for the manager to be in the gym so we can cancel and while we are waiting to even meet or see a manager present, they are still charging us and taking our money!

Review: I originally joined the [redacted] golds gym for the 9.99 a month, then once they got me the customer service sucked, so I left and joined the [redacted] golds gym only to find out that they didn't honor the 9.99 a month with free enrollment and first month free until 2/28 like laburnum did, they claimed they didn't know anything about it when the website specifically says for all 6 locations, so I ended up paying the $40 on the 31st plus an extra $20 on the 2nd of February, then another $20 comes out on the 20th. None the less I stuck with [redacted]. One associate asked did I want to speak with a personal trainer, so I put my name down and received a call to meet one. Excited I went in a few days later and sat down, he asked all the basic questions about my goals and expectations ALL THE WHILE NEVER SAYING ANYTHING ABOUT MONEY. He took me through a 30 minute evaluation, we sat down again and he says I owe $229 today for taking me through the training today(only 30minutes).. AGAIN! NEVER SAID ANYTHING ABOUT MONEY!. NOT WHEN I PUT MY NAME DOWN AND NOT WHEN WE WERE TALKING ABOUT MY GOALS!. who walks in with $229 on hand. I didnt have $229 to give up so he says it will be taken out the following week. All fast talk and the failure to advise me of any type of money before hand is wrong in so many ways..

Additional: No paper on terms and conditions were presented to me(everything was quick)Desired Settlement: I would like for Golds Gym associates to stop being money hungry and be honest. Honor deals that are active, break down what it costs to do certain things(not take someone through it then charge them)

Not to be charged for a 30min evaluation and if possible to honor the 9.99 deal active until 2/28/2015 and refunded my $30
