Review: I was a member of Golds Gym until I filled out a cancellation form on 12/5/12. I lost my job in late 2011 and went in to cancel but always got the run around and lie to about legal options for cancelling. Later I demanded a cancellation and refund form and I signed the form and a representative of golds gym signed the form and I have a copy. I had a 2 year membership and prepaid the entire amount of $700 and some odd dollars. Per Washington State law I can ask for a prorated refund after the first year. I did that in writing and submitted to golds. The gym even calculated a penalty (which they shouldn't have) and charged me for cancelling and put $202 on the refund form BUT never mailed the check. They have refused to return my phone calls for a long time now. I intend to file a small claims case if I get no response this time through the Revdex.com.Desired Settlement: Refund half of my 2 year fee for membership.

To whom it may concern,
Review: Last year 6/13 I went into the local Golds Gym to cancel my membership. I knew there was going to be fees attached. The lady at the front counter explained that I needed to go online and submit a request to cancel my membership and then they would contact me about the fees. Months went by did not hear a thing, I did switch providers and get a new number but my email was still the same. We moved 5 months after I sent the email and by that time Golds Gym was not on my mind. Then Last month 2/14 I get a pre-collections letter saying I owe more than 270.00. Called the pre-collections and was very concerned with this, due to the fact that my email had stayed the same and not heard anything from Golds gym. The gentleman said due to their error I would only have to pay 100.00 to get this thing settled. I had my wife go into the Kennewick Golds gym and they told her a total different story. The manager would not come out to talk to her. I am not happy with how they treated her and also going back on their word. I was happy to pay the 100.00 to get this taken care of but now they have opened a new can of worms.Desired Settlement: Would like their pre-collections department & Kennewick Golds Gym to get on the same page so I can pay this 100.00 to get it taken care of.
