They copy your credit card info, and after you leave their property they charge your card as much as they can for "damages"
Went on a jet ski tour with a guide on 9/22 at 4pm, me and three friends. Our uneducated tour guide took us in shallow water during low tide (look up the key west tide report for 9/22/18 at 4-6pm). 3 of four jet skis sucked up sea weed and whatever else from the shallow waters (probably around a foot deep). The first jet ski that sucked up sea weed and whatever else from the bottom would not restart. The guide had to leave to get a tow rope, left us standing in the water holding our jet skis for almost 45 minutes. After he returned, he tied up the broke down jet ski and we all followed slowly behind him which is when the other two jet skis sucked up seaweed. We had to get in the water to try to clean out the intake area which we did and they ended up running ok again. After about two thirds of the way back towing the jet ski in, another man named tommy rode out on the water to meet us to see what happened, he asked if we wished to continue the tour in which we declined. We then all rode back to the dock, when we got there tommy instructed us that his boss was gone for the day and there was nothing he could do, he told us to call in the morning and talk to his boss to see about getting issued a refund or at least a partial refund. He seemed to feel bad that we were stranded out there while waiting to get towed back in. We talked with him for a few, then said we were good to go after discussing the situation, and just reminded us to make sure we called back. We left key west on Sunday, Monday comes by and I check my bank account and there are two charges from island safari tours for 925 dollars each. Called my friends and another one of us had a charge for 875 dollars from them, they probably didn't charge him twice because he had insufficient funds to cover two charges that large. I called and spoke to the owner ***, in which he told me we wrecked the jet skis, he said that the bottom side of one was wrecked and the side of another and that we crashed into each other. These jet skis were already in poor condition (covered in duct tape, poor fiberglass repair work, plastic hanging from the side of the hull). I'm not sure how one would damage the bottom of the jet ski while following our tour guide as we were instructed. I asked him who was riding what jet ski in which he didn't have an answer. Nobody was assigned a specific jet ski, they just told us to get on one of the ones they selected. They told us we were all set after we returned, so clearly the jet skis were fine to them at that time. They just decided to charge two of us randomly for damages that we never caused... after we left. *** texted me pics of damage (which could be pics from any of their 10+ jet skis) and said "you damaged them", in which I asked who was riding each one, he didn't have an answer for this. He claimed we "fled the scene" after we got back which is another lie (says he has this on video in which I hope he does), we talked to his employees for a bit and left after Tommy told us we were all set. This company is known for this fraud after doing research on them, between trip advisor, Revdex.com, and Facebook they pull the same scheme all the time. They have the same story that "you were riding reckless" to everybody they've scammed. They have dated, neglected equipment in poor condition and try to pin "damages" to the customer which is almost guaranteed to be a tourist that's already out of town by the time they charge their card again. *** is the owner, and his son is also named *** that works there, the son is a convicted felon and the father has a long criminal history too, he's changed his name over the years to try to wash his past, he's filed banckruptcy in the past, so it's clear the type of people they are. Everybody that files a complaint, they harass. They have threatened people and tried to intimidate them. I've talked to several people they scammed and they said they harass them for awhile after they file a complaint.

Desired Outcome

One, stop scamming customers. Two, I want a refund of my money (which I already know you won't willingly do because of your same fabricated story that you use that we were wreckless), and I also want a refund of the tour, we paid 109 dollars for a tour that we didn't get to finish because of your uneducated tour guide taking customers through shallow waters at low tide. You would think a legit business would adjust their routes accordingly to conditions.

Eneida I'm Hoping you are having a wonderful Day.
We wish Not to be concern about the two customers
With the complaint. Take notice this guys got a fair price on the Jet skis. The Tour guide gave them a very well brief before going on tour. The tour guide asked them three times to stop doing aggressive maneuvers and to Stop their behavior because they were acting like clowns. They wrecked the jet skis creating intensive Damages, one of the jet skis had to be towed back that's how bad it was. After they got back safely to the dock they took off on their mopeds, Scooters. They terrorized our property and our business by going to social media and calling the tour guide harassing him and cussing him out with bad nasty words.
We are the Only jet ski Company in Key West with 5 solid stardom TripAdvisor. We have to many nice educated customers to be dealing with these Terrorists. Thank you sooo much for your time.

If you read through trip advisor reviews, this company bribes their customers with free alcohol to leave a positive review. There are plenty of reviews of *** and his company scamming others the same way I've been scammed. He had the same story for everybody, "driving wrecklessly". I have never went on social media to leave a review, nor have I left any review on any other site until I could see if this issue could be resolved. I've never spoke with the tour guide either, the only person I contacted was *** as he was the owner. I was respectful when I called as I thought this was an honest mistake by the company but *** was rude on the phone, didn't care what I had to say, all while he laughed at me on the phone. You can search through social media and trip advisor, and you'll discover their pattern of scamming people. Clearly they don't scam everybody (their business wouldn't survive obviously), but it's clear that over the years they have scammed numerous people with the same claim that they were "dangerous and wreckless". *** has harassed people on social media and trip advisor, making personal insults at these people that have left bad reviews on the business (look for yourself). Since *** clearly is sticking to his story, even though he has said 3 different people have done the damage to the same jet ski, I have left it up to my bank to resolve this claim. Between their history of pulling this scam, the fraudulent charge claims against them, and their criminal record, it's a pretty clear cut case of fraud. A legit business would've handled the situation differently if everything happened as *** claims. If we did damage the jet ski he would've reached out to the group of guys to discuss what happened, who was riding what, and how the issue would be resolved and which rider is responsible. If we "fled the scene" on our scooters to avoid dealing with the damage we allegedly did, you would think he would've filed a police report, and turned in the surveillance video he says he has of us rushing away on our scooters (I still want to see this video he claimed he has), but clearly this isn't how the ordeal played out. His jet ski had a mechanical failure that was not the fault of anybody in our group, the jet ski had to be towed in, they offered us a partial refund if we called back and spoke with the owner the next day, but without your knowledge they go ahead and charge your credit card to cover these "damages" instead and use their same fabricated story to justify these charges after you question the charges. I hope Revdex.com posts this so others that get scammed in the future by these criminals have evidence to back their story on the way this business operates.

Final Consumer Response /(2000, 24, 2018/11/14) */

90 Minute tour booked for 4 people. Jet ski broke down 20 minutes in. After being towed in we were told we were all set. $2,700 charged to our cards
On 9/22/18 at 4PM we booked a 90 minute Jet Ski tour for 4 Adults for $113 per person. At time of booking we signed your typical waivers, and our credit cards were put onto a piece of carbon copy paper for any damages incurred by our own fault. They stated they will shred these when we return from our tour. This was after the woman behind the counter gave us the answers to the PWC safety test without reading the material because it was "faster". About 20 minutes into the tour my jet ski made a loud thunk and shut off. At this point I was the 4th Ski in line and was following the line our "guide" had set. During the first part of this trip I frequently saw live rock and obstacles very close to the surface of the water.

I flagged the "guide" down. Once he reached my Ski I told him it sounded like I ran aground. He then stood up in the water which was knee height deep, and attempted to re-start my jet ski which would crank but not start. The "guide" did not have a cell phone, nor was there a tow rope in any of our 5 jet skis.

The "guide" then left us 4 customers alone in the middle of the ocean, where he was gone for roughly 45 minutes getting a tow rope. Once returned, he again stepped in the knee high water (which he complained about) to hook up my tow rope. He then began to tow me ON THE BROKEN JET SKI for 30+ minutes. During this time I was getting sprayed with non stop water from his Jet Ski. About 15 minutes (towing speed) from the dock another worker Tommy approached us his own jet ski. He immediately put my on the back of his jet ski and yelled at the tour guide for not calling him (Tommy) in this situation.

During the ride back to the dock, Tommy apologized for the terrible experience. He asked how long our tour last, and I told him about 25 minutes. He advised me to contact "***" the boss tomorrow (since he already went home for the day) for a refund or some kind of compensation.

Once back on the dock, I took a few minutes to catch my breath after ingesting salt water during the illegal and plain stupid tow back. My group approached the rental building and asked if we needed to shred the credit card papers, the employee Tommy said "No I took care of it, you guys are all set".

Monday 9/24/18 one in our group notices two charges for $950 on his credit card. I then notice a $875 charge on my card. I contacted the "boss" *** who immediately began yelling at me over the phone. He stated that we crashed two jet skis into power lines and that we "Ran Away" once we hit the dock to avoid paying. He stated he has video footage. I suggested lets call the police and bring that footage on down. No one ran, no one attempted to get out of any liability.

Plain and simple, this business is a scam. There are hundreds of this same story on Trip Advisor and some on Revdex.com. The exact same story. The only thing I received was a photo of a damage jet ski. Which in reality could be any jet ski. We were not designated to serialized jet skis. Any attempt to speak with the owner results in the same response as he writes to everyone with this same story. "You were wreckless and didn't follow directions" or "You wrecked the skis and collided". Easy answer, but no, you are wrong ***. No one wrecked anything, no one collided.

My ski literally had duct tape on the side of the hull before we went out. Almost all the skis were in horrific shape. I could see the embarrassing fiberglass repair work on all of them.

I am currently pursuing legal action against this company and its affiliates. The way the owner and staff operate this business is downright embarrassing and illegal. The fact he got away with this for this long is insanity.

Desired Outcome

Refund the alleged "damage" charge considering we were not at fault for any of them. My ideal resolution would be to see you in a prison cell, but time will tell.

Be Advised: The Consumer was very well briefed before going on tour. The consumer Wreckless and aggressive maneuvers
Created Damages to the jet skis. There is substantial evidence and witnesses in this matter. One of the jet skis had to be towed in. The other came back in with a big hole on the side a the sponson ripped off. This guys have called us calling us Bad nasty words and harassment our tour guides. They thought they got away. After the tour was over they took off at a high speed because they knew they have done wrong. Is a hit and run.

"Be Advised: The Consumer was very well briefed before going on tour."

By "very well briefed" are you referring to where the guide said "turn left, turn right, okay let's go"? Yes that was very substantial briefing.

" The consumer Wreckless and aggressive maneuvers"

What do you know, the same response you write to every complaint. The exact wording I said you would respond with although mine had proper grammar.

Everything the business owner said is false. My I initial report is an accurate recollection of what happened that day. If we "left at a high rate of speed" and it is a hit and run, why dont you call the police? Because your lying like you do every other time. You can bring all your proof to court where your lies will fall apart. The pictures are irrelevant, that could be any Jet Ski in the world.

The problem with your repetitive lies is they are all documented. Your lies add up over time. It's the same exact scenario for every bad review and multiple Revdex.com complaints against this business. Coincidence? I think not.

Be Advised those customers *** are terrorists they came to our business to create Intensive Damages to our jet skis, when they got back from tour earlier that they were supposed to is because they were acting Crazy and wreckless. Also very Rapidly they took off on their mopeds down the street. They collided with one another, one jet ski had to be towed in. Every story has to side, ours is true and believe me there is substantial witness of their malicious actions. Have a nice day.

Final Consumer Response /(2000, 17, 2018/10/24) */

who claimed to be the owner charged us 140 dollars for an hour tour while only riding around for 20 minutes. Charged credit card for 1500 dollar
After reading previous reviews, he is a scam. He scams people all the time. He said a couple we were with damaged jet skis which they did not. No receipts from a mechanic, and guessed a number without even seeing a mechanic in the first place. He then yelled at us, called us every terrible name in the book. Just read the reviews on google and yelp.

Desired Outcome

I want a refund of the 1500 dollars. He also should be shut down since all he does is scam his customers who are on vacation looking for a good time. If anything doesn't get resolved I will bring him to small claims court since I do live in Florida.

Golf Carts Of Key West Response • Jul 16, 2018

To whom it may concern. This particular customer put up her credit card for or as security in case they create damages to the jet skis. One of their friends wreckeless action created intense damages to the jet skis. She signed all the contracts now she doesn't want to pay to what she agreed to in writing, there is substantial witness in this matter. She should be upset at her friends who created the damages not us. They were very well briefed by the tour guides .

I have 6 witnesses, and camera video evidence of how he handled things. He also used the wrong couples card. They did not put up a card so he used ours. Which is why we filed fraud with our bank and the money has not been taken. Please. Shut this scam artist down! Read his reviews, he does this often to vacationers!

Customer Response • Jul 30, 2018

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
Again, how can this not go any more perfect? He just admitted he took 1500 dollars from us WITHOUT even having the damages fixed yet from his "mechanic". We have the best lawyer, we're sure you do with all the money you scam off of people. Again, he used Tyler's card without Tyler's approval and Tyler signed OUR agreement, not our friends. We are ready for the court, along with the others who joined us on our 20 minute journey into the sand, even though we paid for and hour. Also, again video footage of *** screaming and getting into Tyler's face, kicking us out, lying about being in the navy, (Which is SO illegal). Again, also, 4 others got stuck including a instructor, why is one couple responsible for everyone else? Since I have a bachelors degree In criminal justice and a family of detectives, please inform me how there is no legal support when I've already talked to so many. Like I said- read his reviews, he scams people. God is watching always and karma always happens.

Golf Carts Of Key West Response • Jul 31, 2018

After they didn't want to be responsible for their wreck less
Actions we didn't want them in the property again. They Not getting away the summons is coming . Tyler Munson put up his credit card because their friend didn't have one. There is substantial witness. Sure who's going to be happy after they didn't want to pay for the damages that his friends who had no credit card caused damamages that now exceed the $1,500.00 they got charge the bill from the mechanic is a lot more. It you don't put up a credit card you Cannot go on the jet skis. Their friends went because TYLER MUNSON PUT UP HIS CREDIT CARD FOR THEM OTHERWISE THEY WOUND BE ABLE TO GO ON THE JET SKIS. It's a hit and run on their part and is civil matter .
