Regards,
S[redacted] The shop has shop lied about accuracy of what took place.as he stated he had already started the smog test after entering vehicle information into computer and entered probe into exhaust but it was alot more then 500 rpm.the text require it be over 2500 rpm for 30 seconds.he failed to bring rpm to 2500 on first attempt I told him that I believed it was in gear and looked like it wanted to move he said its ok the emergency brake is on.on 2nd try he succeeded to have correct rpm for test and time.after deceleration is when it began to smoke then a large puddle emerged from bottom of rv and then caught flames when fluid reached hot exhaust manifolds. Prior to driving rv into shop there were no leaks the leaking of fluid was caused by the shop adding to much acceleration while engaged in gear causing the rubber transmission line to burst. Yes the rv did not have reverse I bought it that way that was only mechanical issue.now all the vacuum lines and some other wires were melted by flames. After two flames ignited I was able to see that there was a bursted line and told him I could fix it and he stated to bring it back after I fix it to resmog it . There was no other damages prior to smog.all smog specifications were intact and a visual inspection was passed in order to proceed with test.I request the shop to make all repairs to at least the condition of the way I drove it into the shop and not towed by my truck. No paperwork was ever done I left to get gas and returned to smog tech already starting the test. So his statement about leaks prior to smog is false .I believe that shops have you sign a work order to consent to work and release liability of any damages to any damage caused while done at shop and none of that was done.im holding the shop liable to all pay cost of repairs and it be at least in working condition as when it entered into his shop.I replaced the line and it still does not move when engaged in any gear this damage was caused by the shop.all the hoses are still melted as well.I live in the rv and have not been able to complete registration due to damages and unable to smog rv and im at risk of having my rv impounded for no registration being parked on the street. I request immediate repair or payment of repairs and I'll take to another shop.or I can take rv to another shop and have him pay the bill.im afraid if I do that my rv will be kept till bill is payed and ill have no where to go since the rc is my residence. The picture I attached is the way it still is while I wrote this .

Customer “Mr. S[redacted]” came in from rear alley with a 1985 Coachman RV. Smog tech Jose Vasquez was having a conversation with S[redacted] on how he bought the RV for less than two hundred dollars because of damage to the transmission & other problems. As Jose Vasquez “smog tech” as...

processing the info into this computer he had put the fans stick for the RPM at 500 rpm to preheat the motor because of the motor being cold to get it at normal rmp. I Jesus Lopez “manager” at Gonzalez Auto were getting ready to write up a receipt for customer “ Mr. D[redacted] yelled flames. I ran as quick as I can with a fire extinguisher & sprayed flames. So I Jesus Lopez was talking to Mr. D[redacted] after the situation and he stated that he has oil leaked from trany and he was going to go get his truck to pull the other home”RV” out and fix the problem because he knew already what was wrong and then bring back for a smog.

Review: I took my 1985 coachman rv to be smogged at gonzalez automotriz .I had to drive through the alley due to the rv being 32'long.I parked it then applied emergency brake. The smog tech immediately began the smog inspection. While the tech was in the rv accelerating the mtor to bring the rpm to proper acelleration I noticed that the rv wanted to move indicating it was in drive . I told the tech he said it was ok since the emergency brake was applied. During first attempt I noticed smoke coming from underneath rv and I told the tech he said it was normal .Second attempt was successful to bring rpm to where it needed to be to proceed with test and amount of time needed. When the the tech decelerated large amounts of smoke exited engine compartment and from underneath rv.he got out of the rv and walked away to get a fan to remove smoke to see where it was coming from.Imediately the engine compartment bursted into flames. The tech grabbed his tools and fled from the area.the rv being my home, and all my personal belongings being inside I yelled for someone to get me an extinguisher or water hose . Another shop employee extinguished fire using extinguisher. I went inside rv to check my home and the rv ignited again and same employee extinguished fire.I was told they had to abort test and I must remove rv.my only means of removing was use my personal vehicle and rope to tow it out.now the rv doesn't drive transmission not working . inspection of damage revealed blown transmission line exploded due to excessive pressure and heat caused by tech accelerated motor while in drive. I was never asked to sign any paperwork the texh had tech had registration from dashboard and entered information into computer and began text as soon as the rv entered in the shop.Desired Settlement: I need my rv repaired and smogged .Transmission doesn't work anymore and several components and parts were burned and damaged by the fire. I have had to have my kids sleep at family house due to smoke damage smell and im afraid they may get sick I do open windows daily for ventilation and spray deodorizes since the date of issue wich was June 29th or 30th 2015.I am financially unable to pay for cost of repairs and feel Gonzalez Automotriz is liable for cost of repairs. We now are back in rv
