Gonzalez Custom Cabinets Reviews (1)

First of all we are truly sorry that our customer is unhappy with the custom cabinets we manufactured for them. For 25 years in the same location we have been helping hundreds of customers realize their dreams with custom cabinets in a new home or when remodeling their current homes always striving...

for quality and excellence in both our craftsmanship and our customer service. If a customer is ever unhappy we will do everything we can to remedy the situation. We did spend many hours with the [redacted] going over many options before actually getting the job awarded to us due to budget concerns. We helped cut back from a 19k estimated project to a little over 13k final price which is more than a reasonable price for true custom cabinets. Issues with appliances included, they were sold a pop-up downdraft venthood and a slide-in stove that wouldn’t work together in their situation and I discussed that with Mr. [redacted] I also advised that to get a true built-in refrigerator look and to avoid issues with the limited wall depth next to the refrigerator placement that they consider buying a counter depth refrigerator or move their existing refrigerator down away from the end. He chose to keep it in place and keep the standard refrigerator and standard refrigerator cabinet. If ever a cabinet is manufactured incorrectly we will always replace it at no cost to our customer. We agreed and remade the uppers at 13” deep upon the customer’s request for half price even though the contract stated 12” deep. The shaker style doors and drawer fronts were changed to a custom s/r panel door and a unique s/r panel drawer front approved and as per Mr. [redacted] at no extra cost. The corbels/shelf supports originally were made for 12” deep uppers but will work just as well with 13” deep cabinets and Mr. [redacted] agreed to keep them at 12”. The actual issue with the corbels/shelf supports was actually a height problem due to the cabinet installation being out of level. Because Mr. [redacted] didn’t want to remove and re-install the uppers to the correct height as per Mr. [redacted] we agreed to add to the height of 2 of the (paint grade) shelf supports for him at no extra cost. We still offered to refund him the money for the shelf supports which he then said that it wasn’t necessary. We offer very inexpensive installation services to avoid any such issues and to make sure that our work not only looks good for our customers but to assure everything is to correct specs. The [redacted] chose to do their own cabinet installation and we have tried to give advice and support along the way making various trips out to their home in a period of over a year and a half now.  As a faith based family owned and operated business we take our community, customers, commitments and obligations very seriously. Mistakes can happen and we are not immune to them in our business. If ever there is a miscommunication we simply ask our customers to work with us and to help us help them.   Again we are truly sorry for any inconveniences that we may have caused and if Mrs. [redacted] still desire’s a refund for the shelf supports we will be more than happy to do that for her.      Thank You and God Bless!
