To how it may concern:In response to a complaint filed against us through the Revdex.com I will give you our account of what occurred with Mr*** *** ***In his statement the customer claims that we replaced his water pump on 12/21/which we did and the water
pump was provided by the customerHowever, in addition to the water pump replacement we also repaired his radiator that was leaking along with the failing water pumpI will attach the invoice which outlines the repair of the radiator which includes the removal, rod-out and replacement of the outlet tank on said radiatorThe radiator was pressure tested before installation and the truck was troubleshot once it was reassembled and running, everything was fine customer drove off and no problems were reportedThe first time the customer came back he showed up days before his warranty of days expired, the truck was troubleshot again and the radiator was pressure tested once again while on the vehicle and no leaks or loss of pressure were notedThe customer did point out a small oil stain on the chassis and he expressed concern, an oil stain that looked old dried up and non-related to the work performedOur of courtesy we offered to replace an oil line fitting that goes to the radiator just for his peace of mind, we charged him just $to cover the cost of the fitting and sent him on his wayThe second time he came back complaining of a small leak it was checked again with no visible leaks but we offered to replace the thermostat which is a common part to fail and can cause phantom leaks due to over-pressurizationThe thermostat was replaced free of charge as a courtesy as wellHe came back a third time complaining that he had a significant leak, truck was tested and we found no leaksHe complained that it never leaks here but it always leaks elsewhereThis is the point where we decided to be proactive about the situation and asked him to leave the truck and we would redo the whole radiator repair just to be sure everything was okayHe left the truck and the radiator was once again remove and we replace the inlet tank which is the tank on the other side of the radiatorThe thermostat was also replaced along with new fresh antifreezeThe truck was troubleshot again and no issues showed up once againThis was done for no charge and under warranty even though his warranty at this point had expired days beforeIt was another courtesy repair made to keep the customer happyWe have that invoice as well however the customer did not sigh this oneHe returned the very next day complaining that the truck had a huge leak and that his patience had run out with usWe opened to hood to check his vehicle once again and the radiator looked fine however we noted a small puddle of antifreeze on the top of his intake manifoldHe was informed about it and got very defensive saying his engine was fine and that we had to fix his radiator the right wayWe explained everything we did and "re-did" for free and that there was nothing wrong with the work we had performed on his vehicleHe had to have his manifold gasket replaced by a mechanic but refused to acknowledge the issueHe continued talking and saying that we were going to fix his radiator "or else" when asked to elaborate on what he meant by "or else" he said he would sue usWe told him that we did all we could do for him and that he could and should take any action he felt necessary It is appalling that he failed to mention the whole account in his complaint and not only omitted crucial information to our encounter but that he also claimed we wanted to charge him for something work we had already performed on two different occasions for him, once for freeWe do hope he finds resolution with the repairs he needs done on his truckIf he does not fix the intake manifold leak it does not matter where he goes or how many times his radiator is repaired he will continue to have issuesI will not be contacting him based on how aggravated and combative he was on our last encounter but I will respond to anything else you might ask of me
