Contacted him to repair a kitchen ceiling. He came and gave an estimate and he gave me a cost to repair. I then hired him and gave him a check to do the work. He then did not show up stating he had an emergency. He said he also bought the material and wanted add'l time. We gave him that but on the day before I texted him and he was not going to show up again. He said he would give me my money back. He has told us multiple times it was coming and never received it. He is now not answering all of my or my husband's texts.
I had a death in the family that prevented me from starting this job as agreed upon. The consumer was not understanding and wanted a full refund. I explained that custom materials was already purchased and that we would be happy to refund them minus the materials, which we could bring to them. The consumer declined and made negative remarks on social media, which delayed any type of resolution. In good faith our company will provide a full refund of $300.00 to the consumer via mail on 01/31/2020.
