TERRIBLE COMPANY
SCAMMERS — DON'T USE THEM! If I could give ZERO STARS, I would. The only reason why I used this company was because the owner is a retired police officer & my family & I support cops. The owner should be embarrassed to be running a business like this! Here is the HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE I encountered w/Good Greek (more like Bad Greek) moving.
1) Called for an estimate & was quoted $1800 to move a 1300 sq. ft. home (not a lot of furniture mostly boxes) to Loxahatchee & store my stuff in 2 pods for 1 day. They made me believe that was the final price for everything. They failed to mention that it was just to pick up my stuff & storage. My final price after the pickup was $2801. The “extra” cost was due to them having to bring another truck b/c they did not bring a large enough truck for my belongings. I had to pay for their mistake plus gas.
2) The day they came to pick up my belongings was already emotional as we were moving from a home, we were in for 8 years, but it turned into a nightmare & a very stressful day. Besides the issues with the pricing as mentioned in my #1 above. They showed up with 2 guys (and the undersized truck). There was one guy who although new with the company was nice, however the other man was older and was rude & rough. He was p[censored] and did not want to work that day, as he made it apparent the moment he stepped into our home. We could hear him using foul language and cursing to his coworker how he did not want to be there, how the company is terrible, in between this he was eating food and having his drinks within 30 mins of getting to my home. He even asked to use my microwave for his lunch (he just got to my home but must have been hungry as we were the 2nd pickup from what they said). It took these 2 guys from Noon to past 8PM to finish! My husband and I have also helped them to move the process along. We had to push boxes into the main room to hurry them up. My dad came to relieve us as we were very tired. When we left and was asked to pay the bill which was over $1000 from the estimate — we were p[censored]. Had them call “their boss” (I don't recall his name) but he was like dealing with a used car salesman. We told him what were quoted and since they had to call in another truck (and we paid to have to wait for the other truck over 1 hour) we didn't want to pay as it was their fault, and we were very unhappy. He said he would refund us $300 for the inconvenience, which we NEVER RECEIVED. But had to pay the $2800 then.
3) After the pickup day being a stressed nightmare, we weren't looking forward to the day for them to drop our stuff off at our new home. Well, no surprise it was a s[censored] show just like the pickup day. This time, they showed up with 3 guys (although one just watched & guided the other two guys). These guys were nice considering what I am about to tell you we all discovered. The first two guys from pickup day NEVER WRAPPED our leather couch, dining table or chairs. A corner of our NEW leather sectional couch was ripped, and my dining table was put in the truck upright under stacked sectional couch pieces that had fallen onto the table and broke it in half. To say we were upset was an understatement. This day was supposed to be happy moving into our new home, but it turned stressful once again! The guys saw right away and took pictures and called the office to tell them what was going on (ultimately for them to do NOTHING ABOUT IT). We also noticed a new round mirror was missing & a shelving unit was missing pieces. There is NO SYSTEM in place to inventory your stuff, by the way. Who knows what else is missing, as I am still unpacking? They place yellow number stickers on your items. Since this was our first time with movers, I guess you need to write down yourself how many boxes you have and what is exactly in them as movers like these don't care about your stuff, what goes missing or what gets damaged. We moved into our new home & ate on the couch since we have no dining table. We had to order a new dining set (which took over a month to get) & since we wanted something like what we had that is now broken from the movers & cost us $3000 to replace my damaged table.
4) If you read #3 you see which items we have that are missing and damaged. I took pictures, the movers saw the issues, & advised us to email the office to put a claim in for about $3500 in damages and lost items. Well, the claim process is A JOKE! It took them over a month to get back to us, after several follow-ups they replied that they are OFFERING US $96 FOR THE DAMAGED ITEMS. Are you kidding me?!?!?! What the hell am I doing w/$96 for damages of over $3000. They said no insurance was taken — well, it was not offered w/the verbal estimate. They refund by pound of items, not the cost of them! I am sure there are more points of unsatisfactory things that transpired through all this, but these are the main issues. I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY! I will post this on all social media, so everyone knows this.

I used Good Greek Moving to move my property from South Carolina to New York and could not have been happier. The two movers were great and really took care of my stuff. So when it was time for me to move my stuff, this time from a storage unit in New York to my new place in Virginia the first call I made was to Good Greek. This move was beyond terrible.

It starts with the mover *** calling saying that he is not bringing some of my items because they are flammable or broken (fan and other items). Well okay, I can understand but what I don't understand is all my belongs were packed up in either trash bags, 18 gallon totes, or chests. Nothing was openly viewable and I know nothing was broken when I left. So when I asked him about this, he admitted to going through my belongs. When I asked for pictures to show me what was being left and what was broken, he said he did not have time for that. Then they were late on delivery, and were extremely rude. The "broken items" or "flammable items" that no pictures were provided to proof such claim, were not brought plus other items were not delivered.

As soon as *** called saying he was not bringing some of my items, I started calling the company. Two days on phone with the company talking with 2 different manager, the operations manager, and a guy called Ace (who won't even take my calls) to get the same result: tough luck. Our Mover said it was flammable so it was flammable. When told it was the same exact items that they moved in May, they suddenly have no record of my move in May.

The company is jerking me around about my belongs being left behind and being broke. The items, the ones they claim are flammable, are: Kitchen utensils, a crock pot, coffee pot, laundry soap, Mr. Clean and a bucket plus other such items. The broken item they did not move was a standing fan that was missing one screw. They broke an antique glass lamp that was wrapped in sheets and blankets. It just needed to be boxed by them, but they broke it instead and instead owning up to it, they just denied it.

All I want are my belongs, which I paid to have delivered to me, delivered. I have pictures to proof that what was left behind is not flammable and the mover is a liar. Not only that, he is a thief, because I have other belongings missing that are not in the unit and yet was not delivered to me either. Not only that, the staff are rude and have done nothing but made fun of me thinking my problem is a huge joke.

When we decided to move from a 1st floor apartment to a 3rd floor apartment, we knew that we would need to hire movers. Since we love the Florida Panthers, we've seen the Good Greek commercials several times while watching the games, and decided to call them for a free quote.

When Rene arrived to do our quote, he immediately took off his shoes and put on his mask. He explained to us everything from how they sanitize the trucks to deal with covid-19 to how the moving day would go. He then went from room to room, asking exactly what all they'd be moving, and if there was anything we'd move ourselves.

We told him we'd be taking care of our assorted collectibles, and he made note of that in his file. After spending probably twenty minutes going through the house, he sat down and crunched the numbers for us.

Our move was a local one, only about eight miles away. If we had done the full service, with them packing everything and moving everything, it would have cost us just over $5000. We opted to pack everything ourself, which knocked the cost down to just over $3000.

We decided the cost was worth it, and after watching them work, can confirm that we were right. We had a crew of 3 guys, and they knocked out our 3 bedroom house in what felt like record time. We moved ourselves last time, and it took the four of us about 9 hours to load the truck, and 7 hours to unload. The Good Greek guys must be descended from Greek gods, because they loaded the truck, grabbed lunch, and unloaded the truckup to the 3rd floorin less than 9 hours. We were impressed with how cheerful and friendly they remained the entire time, and their communication with each other was top-notch.

They arrived at our old place at 9 am, and after signing contracts and doing a final walk-through, started loading at 9:30. They wrapped every piece of furniture with blankets, plastic, and tape. They finished loading around 12:30, and started unloading just after 1:30. They were finished by 5. It was a blazing hot South Florida day, over 100 degrees with the heat index, and they worked tirelessly. They made sure everything was exactly where we wanted it, then unwrapped it and carefully positioned it. Our stuff came through unscathed, which was a huge relief.

We made sure to tip each of them $60, which they gratefully accepted. Trust me...these guys will work hard for you, and are worth a decent tip.

I cannot recommend Good Greek highly enough. They were professional, hard-working, and the price was more than fair.

Thank you for the review. Another satisfied customer. Good Greek Moving and Storage "Your Superhero Movers".

Just had a set of valuable dishes and a curio cabinet shipped from NJ to FL. From beginning to end the process could not have been any better! From the office staff to the delivery drivers A1.Wish there was a sixth star I would give it.

Thank you for your feedback. Another satisfied customer.

No Stars...We contracted with them on May 2nd and everything seemed to be going smoothly until we received a phone call this morning that our household goods were an hour out from the destination; 1500 miles of Jupiter! Never did we get a phone call from them telling us they were ready to leave Florida although 1 employee actually argued with me today that he had called either me or the other person on the contract. Both of our phones show that a call did not come from them confirming the delivery date of TODAY. We scrambled to find help (3 men we have to pay for their services) to meet the truck, prepare an area in the garage & NOT in the house where everything could be unloaded. The painting in the house won't be completed until the end of the week is why the furniture couldn't be put inside. Good Greek Moving & Storage has not communicated according to what they initially told us and an employee wants to argue he's right; not a good business practice..Since all phone calls are recorded they simply have to produce the recording of calling us with the truck's schedule!
Stay tuned as this unfolds and I only hope they consider their reputation before my next review.

Scheduling was easy and movers were very nice guys on both the move in and out. I had to store my property for 8 days due to closing dates. They both packed and unpacked my property. After they left a noticed 2 chairs and a coffee table were badly scratched. A box that they packed with various kitchen items was missing. I called and they said they asked the crew and all the boxes were delivered and asked me to make sure the box was missing. I called again and they said they would check the warehouse. I did not get a call back. I called again and they just said to fill out a claim form. The missing items were a panini machine, dish towels and many other minor items. I think they handled it badly and I would never refer them. They're moving your personal property and I think they're commercial about caring is BS.

Good Greek Moving & Storage Response • May 12, 2020

We apologize we didn't meet or exceed your expectations and we apologize for any damage. Please fill out the claim form and we will process your claim.

Customer Response • May 13, 2020

I will submit a claim form.

Customer Response • May 22, 2020

I submitted a claim form and requested approximately $200. I'm not trying to take advantage. I learned yesterday that my dewalt drill is missing. I'm convinced now that this was not a lost box. It was someone at the moving company stealing my property. As time goes by I'm sure I'll find there are other missing items.

They arrived 4 hours late for my move, and therefore needed to keep all of my belongings overnight so I had to rent a hotel. The next day they gave me a bill for 3X what I was given as an estimate. The movers had to be told repeatedly to get off the phone and get back to work and moved like turtles. They packed super inexpensive paintings in $50 of boxes each without telling me I was paying for those. The lead mover told me they do this to people all the time which is why he had to tell me before they would take things off the truck. Do NOT use them for anything! 8 months ago I moved for nearly half of what they charged me by a reputable moving company!

They made moving very easy. They were on time and efficient. Customer service from top to bottom was terrific. This will be the only moving company I will ever use. Rene, Lee, Junior and Flo are the best.

Another satisfied customer. Thank you for your feedback. We will pass along your accolades to your crew. Good Greek Moving and Storage... Your Superhero Movers.

Company did a great job. We had a small 2 bedroom and also a storage unit. The crew came in and did a great job and under budget. Thanks GG.

My complaint is false advertising. Good Greek advertises "Best Move Ever Guarantee" - "Insuring a stress free move" on their website.
12/5/19 *** sent me a quote that was reasonable at $695. I was told this was for 3 hours of labor, per the email I received dated 12/5/19 "$695.00 (3 hour labor minimum, 1 hour travel)". Email is attached for your reference. Before I made a $100 deposit I called and spoke to a girl that confirmed the quote is for 3 hours not 2 hours.I put a deposit down of $100. I expected to pay $595 the day of the move. I could not get my stuff unloaded unless I paid $911. I was grossly overcharged. I spent 30 minutes going around in circles on the phone with *** who was no help. I had no options, I had to pay the $911 or my stuff would not be unloaded. I was put into an extremely demanding position that I had no control over. It's really awful and unbelievable how I was forced to pay this outrageous amount, on the spot like that. I've never experienced a moving company overcharge the customer with an estimated time of finish, and you can't get your stuff unloaded unless you pay the requested amount. Then you have to wait for a refund. It's an awful way to conduct business and treat people.
The crew put an ending time of 12:15pm. The time they finished was 11:54am. Why would the driver lie about the time? The clock was right there in front of him and he was trying to overcharge me 15 minutes. Also, the confirmation call on 12/20 promised me a start time of 8:30am and the crew showed up at 7:45am. I explained to the girl on the confirmation call that I cannot get my keys to the new apartment until 10:00am. I stressed to her the importance of the crew not showing up too early. This caused a 30 minute delay waiting for the keys.
On 12/24/19 *** told me your office is open until 6:00pm, and he promised I would be receiving an email before the close of business day that indicated my refund amount of $144. I kept calling your office between X:XX - X:XX and no one answered the phone. I never received my credit email that day. I finally received the email and credit on 12/26/19. I spoke with *** on 12/26/19 and forwarded him the email from *** so he could see how I was lied to. I only have 9 pieces of furniture, and the crew damaged 5 pieces. That is unbelievable. During the move I noticed the damage to my nightstand, and I gasped in shock. The corner was chipped bad - a big chunk of wood came off. The crew just looked at me and didn't even apologize. When I pointed out the damage to my dresser right side door - I said "my door is broken and it's not shutting properly." The crew just looked at it and said, "that was probably already broken." The crew was rude and obviously didn't care one bit about the damage they were causing. They even lost the 4 little suction cups that were on the dinette glass table top. I've never experienced a move like this. I am still in shock over all that happened. I expected a furniture repair man to come out to fix this damage ASAP. I also expected my 4 little suction cups to be replaced.
The customer service I received from *** and the way I have been taken advantage of financially is awful. This was by far the worse move I have ever experienced. The unfair treatment, the overcharging and the way I was put on the spot to pay $911 or my stuff would not be unloaded is unbelievable. I obtained an estimate for repair from a furniture repair company - the estimate is $525. On 1/3/20 I received a claim settlement offer from Georgio Georgedakis. It was for only $250 and no furniture repair person would be provided to me.I pleaded with him to please send out a furniture repair man to fix the damage caused. He refused and said it would cost Good Greek too much to send out a furniture repair person. I will have to spend more than $250 to fix the damage Good Greek caused. They have no respect for their customers, and no desire to compensate for damage they cause.

Desired Outcome

I desire to have my furniture repaired by Good Greek. They should send out a furniture repair person to fix the damage.

Good Greek Moving & Storage Response • Jan 07, 2020

Attached, you'll find our signed and notarized settlement agreement from ***.

Customer Response • Jan 08, 2020

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
I signed the settlement because I need the money for repairs that Good Greek caused to my furniture, and they refused to send a furniture repair person out to me. The furniture repair company I contacted quoted me $525 to address all the damage. I still won't be able to afford all the repairs necessary. It's a shame Good Greek claims they cannot afford to hire a furniture repair person for me. It's an awful way to treat paying customers that trusted you to do a decent job. It's an awful way to treat people in general. The "Best Move Guarantee" is false advertising.

We were confirmed as the first move of the day and they would wrap our furniture. They showed up at 6pm. Our furniture arrived damaged.
December 16 and XX XXXX

Desired Outcome

I want a refund for the amount I paid. They damaged all my furniture and tried to hustle me for more money after my furniture was in the truck when I asked why they didn't show up on time or wrapped my items.

Good Greek Moving & Storage Response • Jan 06, 2020

Attached, is a claim form the customer can fill out for any damages. Only one claim form may be filed, so please make sure any and all damages are listed. Once the claim form is completed, email to ***@goodgreek.com for processing.

Customer Response • Jan 20, 2020

I contacted the company and they have not responded or called us to fix the matters

Good Greek Moving & Storage Response • Jan 22, 2020

We received the claim form for damages. The amount of our liability for the alleged damage is $713.40. Mr. Slowly still has a balance due with our company of $2,569.70. We're willing to forgive the balance in exchange for our liability even though the customer is getting an additional $1,856.30 credit (Amount owed to us $2,569.70 - our liability for damages $713.40 = $1,856.70). We now consider this matter settled and closed.

Customer Response • Jan 23, 2020

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
That is false and I do not accept. This company is absolutely terrible and I don't care it they don't give us back anything . Other people deserve to know what their reputation at this company is. I would like my complaint to stay on this website and I will also post some other complaints with yelp and any other website so everyone know what type of company they are and are not. They do not value customers or their belongings which they are paid to do. I have used this company four times and never had I had this experiance before. I was very Dissspointmented and shocked!

Good Greek Moving & Storage Response • Jan 27, 2020

Mr. Slowly indicates he doesn't care if we give him anything back because he knows he still owes us money from his unpaid move. No claim will get processed until payment for services is made in full.

Did not keep packing/delivery dates. Still left hanging for my furniture.
I signed a contract with Good Greek Moving and Storage on 11/22/19 for a full pack and delivery service from FL to NY. 12/10 to pack, 12/11 to move with a guaranteed delivery date of final destination between 2-10 days bringing it to today, 12/21/19. On 12/9 got a call confirming they'll be there on 12/10. 12/10 after 5 calls to them, was told they can't make it, running late and will come on 12/11. 12/11 they came to pack and take part of the furniture to storage, as contracted and the other part to be delivered to NY by 12/21. I've been calling the last few days for an ETA, only to finally be told yesterday on 12/20 they'll be delivering today, 12/21, in the afternoon. Today, after several calls later to get an ETA was told running late and it'll now be 12/25, on Christmas Day when I'll have a house full of family for Christmas, the holiest day for me. I am beyond upset and all I get is the run around with the countless different workers answering the phones. There is no supervisor who can actually assist. They all call themselves some sort of manager or another and have their lines down to a science as they string you along. Apparently the owner hardly shows up and doesn't take calls was what I was told when I asked to speak to him or have him call me - "Spiro, the Good Greek". They ultimately have my furniture and I can't do anything about it. Absolutely the worst run operation I've ever come across and regret every second of having contracted with them. What rights to do I have with them? Can I withhold any payment? Was told they may credit me $25 each day it's delayed as the best compensation - who cares about that at this point. No thanks to that!!! Please help me with some sort of advice. I don't even know what condition my furniture is in. To top it off, when they came on 12/11, it wasn't even their truck. When we questioned the guys, they said it's a rental from Enterprise because the office overbooked. So they'll now be moving my furniture from that truck to another. When I contracted with them, I was told my furniture will be placed in the same truck that will be delivered to me so there will be no additional unnecessary handling.

Desired Outcome

I want delivery of my furniture ASAP, undamaged, and whatever reasonable discount Revdex.com feels I should receive for this inconvenience.

Good Greek Moving & Storage Response • Dec 23, 2019

Unfortunately, due to the holidays and weather we haven't been able to deliver yet. We plan on delivering this week and we will give Ms. a discount.

Customer Response • Dec 24, 2019

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
They seem to be extremely untrustworthy and don't believe any time frame they tell me. Until I receive my furniture in the same condition I gave them, complete # of pieces, I will not be able to accept their response. Example: They did not provide an explanation of how my furniture is projected to be delayed by (so far) by 6 days when I was told on 12/9 they'll be there the following day. It clearly shows they have no clue the routing their drivers are taking and basically stringing the customer along. I can fully understand weather conditions, but this is poorest run moving business I've ever dealt with.

Good Greek Moving & Storage Response • Dec 30, 2019

All items have been delivered and a $200 credit was applied for the inconvenience.

Customer Response • Jan 02, 2020

(The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.)
I have no choice but to accept their resolution even though they were very late and did not live up to their guaranteed time frame. I had to continuously call to find out the delivery status - they never once called me. Worst company ever to do business with. Damaged 2 of my floor lamps and I had to throw them out. Not even bothering to claim since their policy is 60 cents a pound. You just give up and say 'At least I got the majority of my furniture finally delivered.'

In my experience....UNPROFESSIONAL. This company misrepresented themselves from the beginning. They claimed my belongings would be stored in an air conditioned, humidity controlled facility. Either they are lying, or they've never cleaned anything as my property smelled terribly to say the least. Some belongings had to be thrown in the garbage due to the stench that would wash out. I was told the delivery for out of state long distance moves by the irresponsible sales "manager." (Everyone you speak with is apparently a "manager." The company after 8 days and no update on our move, I called and was told there was no plans to ship my things as of yet. The sales "manager" after then speaking with them doubled down stating they were running at about a week and had no information on my things and was bothered when asked to inquire. When signing the contract with him he stated he was my point of contact and reach out with any questions going forward and then had nothing to offer past that giving a number to call dispatch. Wasn't that his job. Nonetheless, I was told my things would be transported by company employees and the company did not contract out. The delivery driver, upon delivery on the 14th day, 15th from date of pick up, when asked about the crew, he said when he gets to town this is who the contracted company sends. Odd as that was not the claim. The gentlemen packing the house up went through the drawers as evident by things in different drawers they were packed in. My flooring was damaged upon move out and when mentioned to the company I was told, "Sorry about that."

I also had belongings delivered that did not belong to me, some of which were broken on delivery. When I notified the company they said they would contact me with a trunk in the area to retrieve the belongings, and have yet to hear back regarding over a week later. Terrible experience but a terrible company. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY IF YOU VALUE YOUR THINGS, in my experience.

Good Greek Moving & Storage Response • Nov 07, 2019

We apologize your moving experience had some issues. We'll have our Dispatch department contact you about the items that don't belong to you and we'll schedule a date to pick them up. Please fill out a claim form for the damaged items you had to discard and return the completed claim form to our office for processing.

Sub-par crew. Poor service and suffered much damage with good entrusted to move.
I am writing this review after a few months have passed *** no other contact has been made as of July 30, 2019
By The Good Greek Moving #goodgreekmoving to settle the losses from their services.
I have used their services 3 times in such that the first time, they packed me up in my house and stored items for a length of time while I went through a construction renovation. Then returned and delivered and unpacked. Mostly uneventful. Some damage was made to my leather dining chairs, the taping of padding was very tight so the foam under the leather crushed. They sent someone to heat the foam and brought it almost to original. I was satisfied enough.

The 2nd time, April 2019 they came and packed as I sold my house. The items that I entrusted the crew with was the most fragile and important items to me. Their ads always claim that 'we don't need to worry' they take care of everything. The crew that came to pack me was under qualified in many manners. The team leader was definitely here to please but with a crew that did not have the skill set to execute was very challenging. They did not have a good command of the English language. So that was added stress. They did not know how to pack framed vintage posters, artwork and paintings as they needed direction. And they did not know how to pack fragile items with plenty of bubble wrap, padding of any kind.
I had a pair of antique Moroccan Vases that they wrapped in brown paper and put together in a box. I never saw this until the reveal when my items were delivered to my new residence.

Upon redelivery May 30, 2019 to my new residence I found much damage. I call Shawn Jun 3 after the move.
I explained to him that I had treasured items broken and items lost. How was he going to make me whole as I did not take out addition insurance. I chose his company because they said they would take care of all the fragile important items for me. Now some of these irreplaceable items are broken. He told me not to worry, file the claim as I had 60 days and go over everything. That they would take care of the damages and replacement of broken items.
So at the close of 60 days I filed the claim with details, costs of repairs and value of items along with photos. I was handed off to another person. I was told because I did not take out additional insurance, he could only offer me $200. I paid over $8000 for this move. My damages including replacement value exceeded $4000. I entrusted #thegoodgreek to get the job done. They failed me. Three times I used them. This is not what I expected from them.

Many of my framed artwork, the frames, chipped, dented and scratch.
A pair of Antique brought back from Morocco vases, broken.
An antique lingerie chest, the *** was knocked off.
My walnut art table was scratched and gouged.
My cherry bookcase also suffered scratches and gouges.
A vintage wall cherub was damaged when the crew dropped the metal bed slats on it.
3 shoe racks completely shattered.
Lost my bike pump
Lost 4 'container store' lightweight ladders

The sales person they send out to 'close the deal' for a move is always professional, warm and fuzzy. They promise everything. They #thegoodgreek delivered nothing but grief, anxiety and aggravation when the crew is sub par to what they charge. I would never use them again and certainly never recommend them to anyone. They do not stand behind their words and certainly is not interested in taking responsibility for the bad work they offer. Moving companies #thegoodgreek need to be accountable for the items they break and misplace. Why else would we hire someone to do the work if they damage and break everything that is treasured and valuable???

Desired Outcome

A payment to cover the loss, expense to repair and the replacement value of my Antique vase

Ms. has used our company twice in the past two years and both times she had one of representatives visit her home and explain the basic valuation coverage vs. full replacement coverage in the event of damage. For both moves Ms. chose the standard liability coverage at no additional cost. Unfortunately, since Ms. didn't purchase the full replacement coverage we can't reimburse her the $3,000.00 she is claiming for her damaged vase. If Ms. had purchased the full replacement coverage she would've paid $1,000.00 for her move into storage, $1,000.00 for her second move out of storage, and then she would've had to pay us the $1,000.00 deductible. Even though Ms. didn't provide us with a receipt, she claims she purchased the vase for $2,500.00. If Ms. would've purchased the full replacement coverage she would've spend $3,000.00 ($1,000.00 move into storage premium + $1,000.00 move out of storage premium + $1,000 deductible). In an effort to settle this matter quickly, fairly, and amicably we're willing to settle this matter for $570.00. Please have Ms. put a line through the $250.00 and write in "$570.00 per jack". Once Ms. signs, notarizes, and emails back the settlement offer we will reimburse her credit card $570.00.

I am writing today after much thought in regards to the #goodgreekmoving and their offer. I'm sorry it's been 10 days....

I am basically being told that if I paid addition ins, I would have been covered for their lack of care of my personal properties. That is truly an unacceptable way to conduct business. How does something loss and damaged become whole again if they don't even try to offer to do the repairs and replacement of lost items?

It would be saying to me that I can retain a baby sitter for $15 an hour. But take additional ins out for 'just in case something subpar happens" The needs and responsibility would be to bath the child, feed the child and put the child to bed for the evening.
Then I return home, the child was fed with cold food, bathed but not dressed, put to sleep on the floor with no blanket and left naked.
However, the sitter could claim that if I wanted to pay the additional $25 ins
I would have gotten all of the needs/responsibility corrected. But the damage is done already.

NO client would feel confident in retaining the good greek for services that they offer to care for prized and sentimental property but in reality, they do not take the proper care to package items. Encouraging the client to take out additional insurance to cover losses. A new client would choose to use another company with this 'cushion' for themselves.

The #goodgreekmoving is telling me that had I taken out the additional insurance at every turn of handling, I would be out an additional $3k. Therefore their offer is fair? If I was interested or encouraged in paying an additional 3K, I would have definitely exercised my options of shopping for another moving company that would be happy to offer to do the repairs and certainly replace the loss items at hand. And to say that I did not furnish a receipt for the Moroccan Vases that I purchased over 5 yrs ago... they could offer to have my item appraised and I would honor that.
I am not happy or impressed with their additional offer. This is a very big disappointing experience for me and I won't be recommending this local company #goodgreekmoving to anyone.

Ms. signed up for a flexible delivery window within 2-45 days. The price we gave her was based on being able to accept delivery anytime within the window and when we called Ms. about delivering she wasn't ready. We advised her of the additional charges for storage and double handling her goods in our warehouse. Attached, is the Addendum and we still gave her an additional $175.00 discount.

I am in NO way satisfied with any of the results thus far in this situation. The movers out and out try to cheat me and I believe I'm in entitled to a refund.

This offer is totally unacceptable.

After reviewing a few companies online for a local 42 mile move, I chose the Good Greek Moving company. I made the call and spoke to a gentleman named Ace and let him know that the whole reason I am hiring a moving company is because I have an 867lb+ safe that needs to be moved. He said no problem, I said sign me up! When the day came 4 guys show up on a 26' box truck with no lift gate. At that point I said how do they expect to get it done? The said they will try but couldn't understand why they didn't send them with a lift gate truck. So after everything else was loaded, we once again looked at the safe, the area that they would have to pull to was a little wet so I had a neighbor use his tractor to place it on the back of the truck so they didn't have to fight it. So now my safe is on their truck. On the way over the office of the moving company called to see how things are going and I told them the story and asked why they didn't send a lift gate truck for an 867lbs safe. He said oh the guys can handle it, I said are you sure he (his name was *** stated that oh yeah they can handle it. I said ok. Well we got to the destination and after everything else was unloaded I got a call from the company stating that I will have to pay another $475 to get my safe off of their truck....what the ***. The manager there stated that he understands how I must feel, I said oh, so you understand that you're holding my safe hostage for a sum of $475. He stated they didn't realize that the safe was that big....WTH!!! So after a long deliberation that I got fed up with, I ended up paying $275 to have another truck with a lift gate. I deal with a lot of the public and I will be VERY vigilant in my influence to others on what moving company to not use......now for the record...the actual workers were awesome...the office lost a customer for life.

We appreciate your feedback and will use this as a tool to keep improving our services. Good Greek Moving and Storage prides itself in customer service and providing any and all charges upfront with complete transparency. Obviously, our dispatch team dropped the ball by not sending a lift gate truck. Also, our accounts receivable team dropped the ball when they requested additional money after the safe was loaded. We usually have an extra fee for bulky items that require special handling or care (hot tubs, pianos, safes, etc.), however, these charges must be disclosed to our customer upfront. I apologize for the inconvenience and I've issued a $275.00 credit back on the credit card on file.

Got a quote to move 3 pieces of furniture for about 250$. After less than an hours work and 5 miles traveling distance they hit us with a bill for 750$!!! Total crooks do not use these guys.

We paid for a complete move for my 77 year old Mother, packing, moving, unpacking and hauling away all the boxes. This was not what happened.
I am sorry to have to write this, because, as a rule, we are definitely not complainers, but we were very unhappy with my Mom's move a few weeks ago. Everything started out great, from *** going to her house for a formal estimate, to scheduling, ect. Our calls and Emails were always answered very promptly, however on Thursday, 7/25/19, the day before her move, we were notified that we were scheduled to be the 2nd move of the day by dispatch. We figured the movers were experienced, and would know approximately how long packing her whole home, moving and unpacking would take, and that maybe there would be several movers sent to accomplish this. On Friday, 7/26, when only 3 movers arrived to her home just before 3:00pm, even I (having little to no moving experience) knew there was no way they could pack her entire house and have her moved in just a few hours. When we arranged the estimate and move date, I let the company know that she would be moving into an Independent/Assisted Living community (The Horizon Club in Deerfield Beach) and provided the address. The community has a policy that they "Prefer" moves to be completed during the week and during regular business hours if possible. Again, having no real experience with moving, and the first time to this type of community, I placed it in their company's hands that we would at least be close to this schedule. When it began to get later into the evening, we realized this was not going to happen, I placed multiple calls to The Horizon Club and to Good Greek Moving's dispatch to see what could be worked out. I was told it would be way too late to move in by her community and was given the option by dispatch to have the men finish packing and load the truck and return in the morning to move her bedroom furniture and then proceed to her new place. Now this wouldn't have been such a big deal, but my Mom is 77 years old and the movers didn't get to complete the packing until almost 10:00pm. After unloading the truck at the new place, there was almost 30 boxes left over, and stacked 2-3 high, very heavy and not unpacked. These would be difficult for the average person to handle, let alone my Mother. I was under the impression that the additional $900.00 we paid, per our contract, was to include packing, unpacking and hauling away all the empty boxes. For her to get rid of all of them, her community will charge her $50/pallet and we wanted to avoid this extra cost of course. I don't know what else to say, but we are very disappointed after seeing this company every day on TV and being highly recommended by friends who have used them, and the fact that the owner is a retired Police Officer and my Son is a Firefighter, we thought this would be a stress-free, complete move and unfortunately, it was anything but. For what we paid, We feel we are entitled to at the very least, a partial refund, for the packing, unpacking and hauling away all the boxes since only half of this work was actually done. As of today, I have emailed this company twice and have had no response from them.

Desired Outcome

We paid $2313 up front to move basically a one bedroom villa from Boca Raton to Deerfield Beach, before services were rendered, and we feel we deserve at least 1/2 of the extra $900 fee charged for packing, unpacking and hauling away all the empty boxes since this was not done.

Good Greek Moving & Storage Response • Aug 14, 2019

We apologize for the inconvenience. I would like to know what email Ms. used to email us twice so I can follow up and make sure this doesn't happen again. Attached, I've included a settlement offer of $500.00. I've included Ms. name on the settlement offer in case Ms. Stillman isn't able to get the document signed and notarized. Once the settlement agreement is signed and notarized, please email directly to ***@greekmoving.com. Upon receipt, a credit will be applied to the credit card used to pay the move.
