This company installed my 6ft privacy fence with the convex style. I love the way it looks. The products used were of good quality and [redacted] was extremely professional. He adressed my concerns professionally and emphasized on quality that truly shows in the finished product. I was even given a free upgrade due to a little hicup during the estimate stage. They were also willing to work with me on meeting code compliance for a swimming pool that was being installed. I would recommend them to anyone who needs fencing installed.

We are first time dog owners. We have gone back and forth with which kind of fence to purchase. I was refered to Good Neighbor Fence, Inc. by a good friend. This has been the most positve experience we have had. The fence looks great and we have a happy dog. Most of all the workers were wonderful. They even helped me load my car as I was getting ready for a trip. I felt like Ukrop's was in my back yard. I would tell everyone how great the customer service was.

Review: This letter is in regards to the contractor service that we hired for building our fence. I want to lodge a complaint against the service provided by this company:

Good Neighbor Fence, INC

This company recently installed fences in my back yard on my house in Midlothian, VA. We paid about $7560 for new fence. The work took place in May. We gave him half of the money the beginning of April. We asked him to be ready by the end of April. We called him the end of the second week in April to ask him when he will start and he told us not to worry, he will be done by the end of April, which did not happen. We were OK with that; we did not make a big deal.

Unfortunately, during the storm we had three weeks ago, our gate on the north side of our house broke, that was a month after the fence was installed. Was only 20-30 miles/hour wind (which they said the manufacturer guarantee to withstand 120 miles/hour wind).

We ask the owner to come and replace the gate and also bring a missing cap that the crew forgot to install. The first week, we were told that he will be there to take a look and will replace the gate. He never called back or showed up. We called again and he told us that the gate is not his responsibility; we have to contact the manufacturer. According to the standard building agreement, materials and workmanship are guaranteed for one year, so we were expecting the gate to be repaired. Upon signing the contract the builder told us that the materials that he is using are life time warranty and will hold against 120 miles per hour winds, that’s why were so expensive, (T+G fence, lifetime warranty). Well, it did not sustain against not even 30 miles winds. A week ago, we called him to ask for the manufacturer name and warranty for the fence and we still have not heard from him. Now we are wondering if we were charged extra for the quality materials and maybe that is not we have got.

Before we hired this company to install our fence, we checked [redacted] and Revdex.com, and both were showing high ratings. The first thing this owner asked, before he even started the job was if we can go on [redacted] and give him a good review. I wonder if this is how he got his reputation, asking customers before finishing the jobs or random people to do that. The fact is that my gate is still broke, cap missing and the manufacturer name and warranty not given to us and we have not heard from the owner for over two weeks. I want to make sure that the fences that I purchases are indeed of quality and have my gate fixed.Desired Settlement: We want this company to come and replace the gate,and also bring a missing cap that the crew forgot to install.
