Unfortunately as I stated earlier, I have sent back the tires we ordered and are no longer interested in this matterAs the owner of Good News Auto, I feel like I offered a fair solution which was to pay $of the $billThis was rejected by ***Please accept my apology for the situation, I never called you a liar, I did say however that your story changed a couple times so in my mind I did not feel as though you were being truthful with me, so I said that

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me
Well I am most certainly still interested because I have been wronged and deserve some compensationI believe I am being more than reasonable in asking for just two tires and then the matter is doneI never asked you to send the tires back because we were still in discussion, you decided that all on your own which does not seem fair because again I am simply just trying to reach an agreement given all that has happenedBut I am NOT prepared to walk away from this at this point. I will also note that the other tire of my husbands truck has fallen off, I have had several mechanics look at the manner in which the tires fell off and not one of them agree that it's due to not getting the tires retourqedSo considering that as well I believe I am being more than reasonable in asking simply for tires.
Sincerely,
*** ***

My name is Chris F[redacted], one of the owners of Good News Auto. In the 5 years we have been open I have never had to deal with a situation like this. There are 2 sides to every story, so here is mine. On march 14th The customer called in looking for an estimate for struts and a 97 point complimentary...

inspection (no mention of bald tires). When we called to confirm that their were other problems with the vehicle (front tires were completely bald and wires were showing through as well as front axle seal leaking baldly, battery failing load test, burnt out light bulbs, tpms light was on, air filter extremely dirty, front sway bar bushings were just about gone and links were worn because of that and front brakes had 15% left which on a big truck is not safe for long. We sent the customer the quote which also included an alignment A) because we were doing front struts and it is recommended when they get done and B.) because the tires were completely worn out from the struts and mounts being so worn.  The customer got back to us and authorized only the struts and alignment, lights and a leaking rear tire. They said that the tires would have to wait and we said get them done soon as they are NOT safe. [redacted]in this type of situation (budget) we also let all customers know that they will need to re align after the tires go on. We completed specified work and customer picked up their vehicle and we mentioned that wheels need to be retorqued after 60km of driving. Fast forward to the week of August 23rd and we get a call that the customer would like us to check out their tires because they were bald again (exactly like they were before). We said sure bring it in and we can look at it but it is probably because it needs an alignment.   On Monday august 28th customer called in and said their wheel fell of and sent me some pictures, I asked if they had gotten their wheels retorqued and they said NO, I said I am sorry and they customer agreed that this was an issue for them not for us. AT that time I said, I realize you have been through a lot so I will give you a complimentary wheel alignment once you get any repairs (at the shop it was towed too * see pictures) I thought this was fair, then the customer said what about getting me 2 free tires? I mentioned the reason your tires are bald is you never got an alignment done when replacing the tires, I then also feel I went above and beyond and said I will buy you one tire and still give you a free alignment and you pay for 1 tire and the install, does this sound fair I asked? Then I get a hysterical phone call this afternoon saying I am going to call my lawyer if you don’t give me free tires ($613 for 2 of them) + alignment, plus install. Your technician told me in person that I DID NOT NEED AN ALIGNMENT, I said please understand, you are calling us a liar because now you are saying that my technician told you back in the day that you definitely  DID NOT NEED AN ALIGNMENT. This is not true so I said, tell you what. If you come here and point out the person who told you that so I can resolve that part, I will get you what you want, if not, I cannot help you. She then back peddled and said and I quote “ ok, well hypothetically speaking, maybe he didn’t tell me, but you guys should have tried to sell me an alignment. ( we did back in the day as we do with any bald tires being replaced) and the guy I talked too, his name was rob, I remember that and you guys never mentioned an alignment” I then asked her calmly, can you please describe rob is he short/tall, long hair/short hair, beard/no beard? She said and I quote “how the hell do you expect me to remember that, it was 4 months ago, I don’t know what he looked like”   I mentioned at this point only because I was tired of being yelled at, you remember all the other details of every event but you can remember what Rob looked like? Just for you to know Revdex.com rob is about 5 ft tall had a big bushy beard half way down his chest and is completely bald.       I again will apologize to you [redacted], I offered to pay close to $415 what was needed even though it was NO our fault. I am sorry that you cannot realize what is really happening here, We are a shop, we tell our customers what is needed (that’s how we make money) but when you chose only to listen to part of what we said back on the original day (March 17, 2017), there is nothing I can do. Sorry for your situation.   Chris/ Owner of Good News Auto

Unfortunately as I stated earlier, I have sent back the tires we ordered and are no longer interested in this matter. As the owner of Good News Auto, I feel like I offered a fair solution which was to pay $440 of the $800 bill. This was rejected by [redacted]. Please accept my apology for the situation, I never called you a liar, I did say however that your story changed a couple times so in my mind I did not feel as though you were being truthful with me, so I said that.
