My party of three fishermen booked a fishing charter with Good Time Dave at the Becher Bay Marina. Dave told us to be there at 4:30 am. We reconfirmed the date and time in advance of our trip.
When we arrived at the marina as agreed, Dave wasn't there. But two other fishermen from Alberta were present, having booked their own fishing charter with Dave. The five of us waited more than one-and-a-half hours for Dave. When he finally showed up, he quickly realized that he was double-booked. He was rude, unprofessional, uncooperative, and unapologetic. He refused to accept any responsibility for his behavior and tried to tell us we were booked on a different date, despite our having reconfirmed the date ahead of time. Other local fishermen at the marina told us this happens all the time.
We were not able to go fishing that day and got up at 3 am for nothing.
