First, I would like to give you some background on Mr [redacted] 's Lexus This vehicle came to us not working correctly after Mr [redacted] had a couple of "undoccumented Migrant Mechanics" install (or rather mis-install) an engine in his vehicle When it came to us, it had NUMEROUS problems that needed to be corrected For starters, it was not running on all cylindars due to several faulty spark plugs, coil packs, and fuel injectors We corrected this issue and got the motor firing on all cylindars After which, we noticed the vehicle exhibited a bucking problem Due to a Technical Service Bulletin on this problem, we referred Mr [redacted] back to Lexus because the TSB pertains to the vehicles computer having software issues creating this Mr [redacted] took his vehicle to the lexus dealer who stated that because their computer was able to communicate with Mr [redacted] s Vehicle, the Computer was working properly They were unaware of the TSB They informed Mr [redacted] that his transmission was bad At which point he brought the car back to us I informed Mr [redacted] , I was honestly scared that rebuilding his transmission would not fix this problem, but he insisted we perform the repairs After rebuilding the transmission, his vehicle still exhibited the same bucking problem as we feared it would Since then, we have fixed numerous other problems with the vehicle including the alternator not charging properly, numerous wires that were broken during the engines installation, ground cables that were not hooked up, and we had a computer expert from [redacted] inspect the vehicle who also feels the cars computer has a software issue When I spoke with Mr [redacted] and his wife on several occasions, we did in fact work on his carAt one point I even told him to take the vehicle to a specialist to be repaired He did not want to do so and insisted that he wanted us to repair the vehicle In fact we have spent over hours so far (unpaid I might add) trying to fix it But to be honest, I am unable to invest any more time into trying to figure out what is wrong with Mr [redacted] s Vehicle We are transmission specialists, we do not specialize in the whole car At this point, we are unable to repair the bucking problem with Mr [redacted] s vehicle, as I told him from the beginning that rebuilding the transmission would not likely solve that problem I have spoke with several other transmission shops, technicians, and even scoured the internet looking for the cause of this problem, and have not had any luck Mr [redacted] is welcome to come pick up his vehicle and take it to whomever he would like as he has ALWAYS been able to do I will even give him the transmission we rebuilt at no charge, along with the countless hours of labor we spent on his vehicle I would however like to be paid for the alternator we installed as we DID in fact solve his charging problem We have never charged Mr [redacted] for anything we did not do, and have been more then generous in the amount of time we spent attempting to help him [redacted] Manager

First, I would like to give you some background on Mr [redacted]'s Lexus.  This vehicle came to us not working correctly after Mr [redacted] had a couple of "undoccumented Migrant Mechanics" install (or rather mis-install) an engine in his vehicle.  When it came to us, it had NUMEROUS problems...

that needed to be corrected.  For starters, it was not running on all 6 cylindars due to several faulty spark plugs, coil packs, and fuel injectors.  We corrected this issue and got the motor firing on all 6 cylindars.  After which, we noticed the vehicle exhibited a bucking problem.  Due to a Technical Service Bulletin on this problem, we referred Mr [redacted] back to Lexus because the TSB pertains to the vehicles computer having software issues creating this.  Mr [redacted] took his vehicle to the lexus dealer who stated that because their computer was able to communicate with Mr [redacted]s Vehicle, the Computer was working properly.  They were unaware of the TSB.  They informed Mr [redacted] that his transmission was bad.  At which point he brought the car back to us.  I informed Mr [redacted], I was honestly scared that rebuilding his transmission would not fix this problem, but he insisted we perform the repairs.  After rebuilding the transmission, his vehicle still exhibited the same bucking problem as we feared it would.  Since then, we have fixed numerous other problems with the vehicle including the alternator not charging properly, numerous wires that were broken during the engines installation, ground cables that were not hooked up, and we had a computer expert from [redacted] inspect the vehicle who also feels the cars computer has a software issue.  When I spoke with Mr [redacted] and his wife on several occasions, we did in fact work on his car. At one point I even told him to take the vehicle to a specialist to be repaired.  He did not want to do so and insisted that he wanted us to repair the vehicle.  In fact we have spent over 120 hours so far (unpaid I might add) trying to fix it.  But to be honest, I am unable to invest any more time into trying to figure out what is wrong with Mr [redacted]s Vehicle.  We are transmission specialists, we do not specialize in the whole car.  At this point, we are unable to repair the bucking problem with Mr [redacted]s vehicle, as I told him from the beginning that rebuilding the transmission would not likely solve that problem.  I have spoke with several other transmission shops, technicians, and even scoured the internet looking for the cause of this problem, and have not had any luck.  Mr [redacted] is welcome to come pick up his vehicle and take it to whomever he would like as he has ALWAYS been able to do.  I will even give him the transmission we rebuilt at no charge, along with the countless hours of labor we spent on his vehicle.  I would however like to be paid for the alternator we installed as we DID in fact solve his charging problem.  We have never charged Mr [redacted] for anything we did not do, and have been more then generous in the amount of time we spent attempting to help him.       [redacted] Manager

Dear Revdex.com I wanted to take this time out to explain the overall view of how I came in contact with [redacted]. I want to explain from the day I brought my vehicle to [redacted] Transmissions, and to where we are at now, and why did I get Revdex.com involved in this matter.I was referred to [redacted] Transmission from my niece.  [redacted] performed transmission work on her vehicle, just to later find out that wasn’t properly done either. I will get into that matter shortly. I had drove my Lexis truck to [redacted] on March 2014. I explained to [redacted] my truck keeps bulking when you drive at a low speed, and I have transmission problems. Can you repair these issues? [redacted] confirmed he can do the work. At this time I had paid $784.00 upfront for minor work that he completed. And every time I drive the vehicle I keep getting the bulking the transmission failed. Can you perform this work.  I had noticed time was passing by, days turned into weeks, weeks turn into months, and now it’s almost been a year.  In the beginning I was extremely patient with [redacted], we spoke from time to time about my vehicle, [redacted] explained to me he is working on my vehicle, and made me feel like things were going in a positive direction. I am accepting the fact he couldn’t repair the issues, however I should be able to take my vehicle back out the shop in the same condition I brought it there. This has been an extremely stressful and a waste of time dealing with [redacted].I DON’T want to have to pay [redacted] for NOTHING ELSE. I paid enough, the first $784.00 I gave him in April 2014. It has almost been 12 months without a vehicle, MY wife and I am STILL paying other Taxis Cab services, paying for Bus Rides and even local neighbors to take me from place to place. The time spent without my vehicle and is lack of integrity and trust is enough for me.  I feel in my heart I have kicked out enough money in this last year, I have been extremely stressed and depressed over this vehicle issue. My heart is still in unstable condition, I don’t want to deal with [redacted] ever again, and would NEVER recommend him to anyone. I am so threw with [redacted] and his business. Furthermore, My nice initially recommended me to [redacted]. At time she and I both barely new [redacted], She happened to go to him for a transmission failure. He performed some work that turned out to be an horrible experience as well. Unfortunately my niece has her own issues with [redacted]’s mechanical work. My niece had [redacted] installed a supposedly a“NEW” TRANSMISSION inside her car. [redacted] charged my niece $2,000.00. My niece paid for the work. Unfortunately 5 months later down the road, my niece transmission completely failed AGAIN.. She had called [redacted] and explained to [redacted], her transmission failed after only driving it for 5 months can she bring it back and could [redacted] fix it again.? .My niece asked [redacted] how could the transmission failed so soon?   How could this be possible when [redacted] said he installed “NEW TRANSMISSIONS AND PARTS”?  [redacted] told my niece that is not his problem, and he will not fixed the vehicle unless my niece pays for the work all over again.. [redacted] said if he performs the work my niece would have to pay for the services all over again.  If the transmission and parts were so brand-new why did the vehicle fail so soon.? [redacted] showed no concern or help in assisting my niece.  He pretty much slammed the door on her after ripping her off of $2k..5months earlier. My niece didn’t trust [redacted] after that day. My niece was crushed and hurt at the fact she lost out on $2,000 for a fraudulent work that was done on her vehicle. My niece immediately took her car to another Transmission shop, the owners at the new shop  knew of [redacted]’s shady business and stopped my niece at the door and explained they have the same name as [redacted]’s business but are NOT affiliated with [redacted]’s entities. They made it clear that they will fix my niece’s car but has nothing to do with [redacted]’s business name. The owners at the new shop CONFIRMED the “ TRANSMISSION AND PARTS WERENT NEVER NEW” they were so old the transmission fell apart the minute the new mechanic took it apart.  and if they were new the new mechanic should still have been able to repair my niece car , utilizing the newly installed parts that supposedly  [redacted] had done 5 months ago. The new mechanic had to get rid of the used and old parts [redacted] flakily installed. The old mechanic confirmed the transmission [redacted] had installed was used and old and probably purchased from a local junk yard. The new mechanic installed an OFFICAL BRANDNEW TRANSMISSION, the right way, however my niece had to pay again another $2,000.00 for the newly installed work the new mechanic had done. My niece is currently driving her car and proud of the work the new mechanic had done, however she still has UN resolve issues have with [redacted] that she is fighting. My niece has all her paper work from [redacted] stating he installed New parts & Transmission and charged my niece $2,000.00, when he actually installed used old worn out parts. And she has the paper work from the new mechanic stating the parts were old and worn out, therefore they had to installed a New Transmission charging my niece another $2,000. The new mechanic will provide my niece with a written affidavit confirming all if needed. My niece has record of everything.  In all my niece became a victim of [redacted] lies and schemes and eventually paid out $4,000 for work that was initially $2,000.00 I felt so bad for my niece however there wasn’t anything I could do because I am fighting my own battles with [redacted]. My niece is looking into Legal Matters at this time. At this time, I would like to conclude my letter with this :  I am asking for my vehicle back, I drove my vehicle into his shop and I want to be able to drive it back out. I shouldn’t have to get my vehicle towed out of his shop when I initially drove it there. I am accepting the fact he couldn’t repair the issues, although he never told me himself, I am finding out threw his response to Revdex.com. I should be able to take my vehicle back out the shop in the same condition I brought it there. I DON’T want to have to pay [redacted] for NOTHING ELSE. It has almost been 12 months without a vehicle, MY wife and I am STILL paying other Taxis Cab services, paying for Bus Rides and even local neighbors to take me from place to place. The time spent without my vehicle and is lack of integrity and trust is enough for me. [redacted] doesn’t deserve another dollar out of me. I am sure he can find other customers who he can scheme money out of.  I feel in my heart I have kicked out enough money in this last year, I have been extremely stressed and depressed over this vehicle issue. My heart is still in unstable condition, I don’t want to deal with [redacted] ever again, and would NEVER recommend him to anyonePlease help me in resolving this matter..Thank you Revdex.com for your assistant in regards to this matter.I look forward to your resolution. Mr [redacted] story is not accurate.  Mr [redacted] contacted us originally in March of 2016.  He had his sons friend install a new clutch assembly and a new clutch slave cylinder assembly in the car, who then moved away leaving the car not completed.  Thats the story I got from my initial...

conversation with Mr [redacted]. Mr [redacted] complaint when he called me was that the clutch pedal did not work.  Not seeing the car and knowing the history, I assumed the clutch hydraulic system had air in it and needed to be bled.  It is not possible to diagnose a car over the phone without seeing it, especially after someone else had already attempted to repair it, so this was my best guess based upon the facts I was given.  I agreed to inspect the car at NO CHARGE for Mr [redacted], and gave him an estimated price on bleeding the clutch hydraulic system assuming that was the problem.  Mr [redacted] then towed his vehicle to my shop.  Inspection showed that the clutch pedal was in fact inoperative as Mr [redacted] had complained.  We attempted to bleed the air out of the system, and when we did we noticed that the slave cylindar Mr [redacted]'s mechanic had installed was faulty and leaking.  At this point we contacted Mr [redacted] and informed him the slave cylinder was no good, and that it needed to be replaced.  Mr [redacted] was given an estimate for the repairs.  he informed me it would be a couple of months before he could pay for the repairs.  I agreed to do the work and allowed him to store his vehicle here at no charge while he paid us off.  We corrected his problem with the clutch pedal by changing the slave cylinder.  At no time while we were working on this did Mr [redacted] have any complaint whatsoever.  He did not request his old slave cylinder back or offer to bring another one.  Regardless, if he did, we would not have done the work as we do not allow customers to supply their own parts ESPECIALLY considering the one he had installed previously was no good.  We use a professional grade of parts, not the cheapest ones we can find because we have to warranty our work.  Thats like bringing your own hamburger to McDonalds and asking them to cook it for you.  Go ahead and try and see where that gets you.  Now, having completed the repairs, 2 months turned into 6 months we waited for payment for the work we did.  We were not able to road test the vehicle properly because the vehicle came to us without license plates.  We did however drive it to the end of the street and back to make sure the clutch pedal was working.  Mr [redacted] FINALLY picked up his car in September (6 months later! and way longer then we agreed to store it!).  Again, he had no complaints at this time about the work that we did or the parts we replaced.  He was given a detailed receipt showing the break down of the cost of labor and parts, we installed his license plates, jumped his car because the battery was dead from sitting for so long, and he was on his way.  Shortly thereafter, he came back and said the clutch didnt work.  He brought the car back, and we checked it shortly thereafter to find that the clutch assembly that he had his back yard mechanic install was slipping.  There was no problem with the work we did to restore the functionality of his clutch pedal, and the pedal worked as it should.  Mr [redacted] then contacted me, and when I informed him that his clutch was also defective, he began screaming at me.  I can understand Mr [redacted]'s frustration with his vehicle, however, we did not cause his problems.  He should be angry with the person who installed the clutch assembly, not us.  We installed a slave cylindar which is the part that presses the clutch, not the clutch itself.  I am sorry to say that Mr [redacted]'s complaint against us has no merit.  We were more then kind, fare, acommadating, and understanding with Mr [redacted] during all of our contact, and we performed the work we were paid to do.  If Mr [redacted] has a warranty on the clutch he had installed, I would suggest he track down the person who installed it, have it removed and bring it back to wherever he got it from if he wishes to rectify his problem.  Attached is a copy of the receipt we gave Mr [redacted] that he claims we did not give him.

Review: Good Day, I would like to report an issue I am having with Goodeal Discount Transmissions, LLC. in Pleasantville, NJ.

I had my 1999 Lexus towed to Goodeal automotive transmission shop on 04/22/2014. I was told the owner [redacted] will work on my transmission problems.

I initially paid [redacted] $784.84. on 06/19/2014 for fuel injectors, crush washers & coil packs. [redacted] advised me he wants payments for those items he diagnose. Later on [redacted] advised me those problems werent the reason why the car transmission failed. [redacted] kept the car and promise me day after day he is working on my transmission. I have called [redacted] once a week requesting status on my car and [redacted] tells me it will be repaired soon. [redacted] has kept me vehicle for 8 months now. I have been out of a vehicle for months now, and I have no idea when [redacted] will be done with my repairs. I believe [redacted] doesnt know what to do with my car and wont tell me the truth about my vehicle. I have been patience and kind to [redacted] over the course of 8 months. I have my original receipt showing what work was done and the amount I have paid. I am at the point of frustration and hurt because [redacted] has provided poor customer services, took my money, my vehicle is not repaired, no vehicle for 8 months, and I am not getting any postive outcome. I have been asking for rides from other people, taxis services, and I barely have any way to get around. I have called [redacted] and express to him I am getting worried my car is not being repaired on time, [redacted] doesnt return my phone calls back as of today or he tells me random stories about why my vehicle is not repaired. . Please help. Thank you !Desired Settlement: I would like either my vehicle back, money back, return the vehicle with repairs completed or not. I am willing to accept my vehicle back as is, and close out my service with him . I dont want to deal with [redacted] -Goodeal Discount Transmissions, LLC. in Pleasantville, NJ anymore.

First, I would like to give you some background on Mr [redacted]'s Lexus. This vehicle came to us not working correctly after Mr [redacted] had a couple of "undoccumented Migrant Mechanics" install (or rather mis-install) an engine in his vehicle. When it came to us, it had NUMEROUS problems that needed to be corrected.

Response:

However I noticed he had my vehicle for about 3-4months. I decided to call [redacted] and check up on my vehicle, he would answered the phone and would make silly jokes and even made a sly comment about my wife, I was really disturbed but I let that pass on the strength I need my vehicle repaired. I began to notice the phone calls became less and less after a while he never called me again, unless I would call him. It’s now going on 5months, We are now in August 2014. I had suffered a mild heart attacked on Aug 22 2014. I was put in the hospital for a week. I had heart stent placements. I was in bad state with my heart complications. The day I was discharged from the hospital I immediately went straight to [redacted]’s shop and explained to [redacted] I just had a heart attacked and I need my vehicle repaired soon as possible because I need to follow up on doctor’s appointments and medical checkups. I am sure [redacted] has surveillance footage showing I went physically there to his shop. [redacted] seemed like he was concerned and acted like he understood what I was going through. I explained to [redacted], I am spending money on Taxis Cab rides, bus rides, paying people to take me here and there, doctor visits, food shopping and there was times I had to walk around town just to get to places. I became stressed dealing with these issues with [redacted]. I called [redacted] numerous of times, and he honestly didn’t care for me or my vehicle. He would act nice on the phone, but once we hung up, you would never hear from him again. When I called back I was always told from [redacted] or [redacted] assistants don’t worry Mr. [redacted] we will call you, no need to call us back. I immediately thought that was strange. The last time [redacted] & I spoke was in August 2014. We are now in February 2015. Unfortunately 6 more months has passed now. [redacted] still hasn’t called me to show any interest to this matter. I am still taking taxis rides, asking people to help me get around, paying people gas money and tolls to take me places or walking to places in the cold winter weathers. This is a serious matter to me..Still no word from [redacted]. I went through Winter , Spring, Summer, Fall and now back to Winter and [redacted] still hasn’t either finish my vehicle, called me about settling this matter, or kept me informed. Holidays have passed, family events pass and I still don’t have a vehicle. I shouldn’t have to come to Revdex.com to get them involved in this matter. But I feel like [redacted] will continue to play games, deceive me continuously, fraud me, act like he care about your vehicle but as soon as you walk away he doesn’t care about your business or vehicle. He definitely doesn’t keep you informed about the work done on your vehicle. If I don’t speak up now more months will pass and I will continue to spend more money out of my pocket getting from place to place. . This matter has been extremely upsetting to my wife and I. We have arguments over this matter. Unnecessary money has been spent continuously to get around town. Still [redacted] has not called me about anything concerning my vehicle. I have been more than patience. 2015-[redacted] and I still till this day never had a fall out, I never got angry with [redacted], never had an argument with him and I was never hostile to [redacted]. I always remain calm, however very concerned. [redacted] told me himself a lot of customers don’t like him. I now see why. I always stressed to [redacted], I just wanted my vehicle repaired. In the beginning [redacted] would say I have been more than patience. Looking back, honestly speaking I don’t believe any work was properly done for my vehicle, I don’t trust his work or business. I believe in my heart he doesn’t care about my vehicle. It was times I would have a buddy of mine drive me around [redacted] shop just to get a visual look to see if my vehicle was ever being work on. One time I came there 2:00am, and it was pouring down raining, [redacted] had my vehicle hood opened, with a stick holding it up, sitting alone in the parking lot overnight. Raining just pouring into my vehicle.. I knew immediately [redacted] is very unprofessional at that point too.08/2014- I have lost trust, hope and respect for [redacted], I am sure I am not the only one in the community that feels this way. There is no explanation in the world explaining why [redacted] has never called me since AUGUST 2014. He can act like he has been so busy working on my car but he and I both know this is untrue and extremely unprofessional. He portrays like he did so much work on my vehicle when that is clearly untrue. He talks a good game, and throws technical mechanical terms at you as if he is working on something huge. December 2014: I initially field a complaint against [redacted]. Now when I file a case against [redacted] Transmission through Revdex.com he decides to speak up and explained his point of view. [redacted] still hasn’t called me as of today, you would think he would say something professional to me now that we have Revdex.com involved but he still ignores me and express his reviews through Revdex.com.. Now [redacted] wants to give me back my car and want me to pay for work that was suspiciously done, Now [redacted] wants to explained to me he can’t repaired the transmission issues, Now [redacted] wants to say he works so hard on my vehicle, Now [redacted] wants to say he has been working on my vehicle. Nobody knows the real truth on the work [redacted] SAYS he has done. I don’t believe anything. Now when I get Revdex.com involved [redacted] wants to show concern to this matter. What happen to his respect and concerned for the last year??? You can check our phone records, incoming and outgoing phone calls from his business to my cell phone [redacted] hasn’t called me since AUGUST 2014.Why should I have to stoop to this level with [redacted] in order to get some answers, concerns, or even a little respect. Why should I have to get other parties involved to resolve this matter? Where is his respect and loyalty to his customers? I am a good customer never became belligerent to [redacted]. 2015-At this time, I am asking for my vehicle back, I drove my vehicle into his shop and I want to be able to drive it back out. I shouldn’t have to get my vehicle towed out of his shop when I initially drove it there. [redacted] also said that my niece drove 1,000 mile over [redacted]’s 12,000 mile warranty, therefore [redacted] wouldn’t help her out. Please call me anytime[redacted]
