Revdex.com: I have reviewed the offer and/or response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below First let me state, this was my first time ever stepping foot on grounds of this business (and of course my last) The only reason I went to them is because it was my day off from work and my regular mechanic was on vacation The letter written by the manager of Goodfella's does not state facts I was present on the premises for about minutes not the which is claimed to be the time it takes to do an inspectionI called my husband from Goodfella's after I was told the rotors were badMy husband told me to leave and take the vehicle some place else because I had recently had my brakes replaced and he said there is no way the rotors should be worn out and not have been noticed when my brakes were changed I immediately left Goodfella's and took my vehicle to a reputable tire company, one for the record that does not perform car inspections, for a second opinion per my husband's advice I called Goodfella's from that company to inform them of the findings and was even willing to let the manager speak with the gentleman that inspected my rotors Instead of speaking with the gentleman, the Goodfella's rep became nasty on the phone I left the tire company and went to a different company to have my car inspected and it passed inspection I was told a second time that my rotors were fine by the gentleman that performed the inspection All of this transpired on the same day in the span of about hours So Goodfella's is attempting to make themselves appear to be a reputable company but in this case the facts have been twisted The contents of the letter were to be expected, in order to not appear shady they have to place the blame on a othersWhat the manager of Goodfella's fails to explain is why a different company would give me a passing inspection sticker, let me drive off knowing my rotors were bad, and forfeit making money on the rotor repair for the measly amount of money of an inspection sticker If my rotors were truly bad, I gave two independent auto shops a chance to inspect my rotors Money was not the problem, I would've paid for the rotors if they needed to be replaced The scenario of having my brakes recently replaced is what made Goodfella's appear to be just another company attempting rip off an unsuspecting ignorant woman They did not expect me to make a phone call and get the advice of my husband who wasn't present during this transaction This is why Goodfella's is on record per this complaint for doing shady business.Also, for the record, by law, if I took my car in for an inspection and it FAILED, I should have driven off with a rejection stickerBut I am going to turn a copy of the manager's letter into the state so they can further investigate the admission of shady practices So therefore, the only way to remedy this matter is to return my $ I should've received been charged for an inspection and nothing else if they were doing business legitimately., Regards, [redacted] ***
