Goodguys Rod & Custom Association Reviews (2)

Complaint: ***I am rejecting this response because:
Their Sales Manager still shows all of his social media including ***, and two facebook pages as working for Good-Guys Rod & Custom Association That being said, we made a contract with him and he represent** the company We have the text messages between us that we forward** to the management of Good-Guys that verify what we agre** to We are not taking a compromise The agreement that we had is that our last issues of the year were going to be run free of charge in the first pages of the magazine I quote the message from Mr*** on 7-15-16, "I'm going to run your ad, cost-free, for the remainder of your contract Is that fair to you and make it right?" I ask** how many issues were left and he said I also ask** if we would be in the first pages and his answer is quote,"Yes That is what you sign** up for I had a talk with the folks that assemble each is*** and stress** that point." We agre** to that part of the agreement that Mr*** promised
The bottom line to this is simple, Mr*** made not one, but two contracts as a representative for Good-Guys Rod & Custom Association and they are not willing to honor them We were promis** that the last issues would run at no charge in the first pages, and then we would get a full year free of charge in the magazine for in the first pages and that if we were not in the first pages additional months would be added It is their job as a company to honor what their people do right or wrong on their part We will not take a compromise.
We will accept issues in the first pages at no cost to us, and if not in the first pages additional months will be provid** as stat** in the last contract provid** by Mr***

Sincerely,*** ***

In response to Mr.[redacted] of [redacted] in Orlando, FL’s complaint against our company, Goodguys Rod & Custom Association (Goodguys), the first thing we would like to state is that we acknowledge the fact that our sales person who handl** his account act** unprofessionally and...

outside of our company policies with regards to this matter.  The sales person promis** ad space, without permission of his sales manager, that we unfortunately could not deliver on due to lack of available inventory.  Subsequently, the sales person was terminat** on January 17, 2017 as a result of his business dealings with [redacted] and no longer works at Goodguys Rod & Custom Association.
We have apologiz** to [redacted] for our error several times and have made our best efforts to make things right between [redacted] and Goodguys.  This includes offering him and subsequently running a combination of “make good” and free ad space, both in our magazine and on our website.  To this point, [redacted] has paid Goodguys a total of $18,000 and has actually receiv** (9) discount** paid ads that have an actual value of $22,050.  Additionally, [redacted] was given (3) comp** ads to this point with a value of $7,350.  Of the (12) total ad insertions, (7) land** in the first 15 pages of the magazine with (2) of them in the first 7 pages of the magazine.  Lastly, it is important to know that Goodguys offer[redacted] additional comp** ads but as he states in his complaint, he did not accept them.   Instead, [redacted] stat** his preference was to pur[redacted] actions, either legally or via complaint, that we feel will not result in a collaborative effort to resolve this issue.
In closing, Goodguys has a solid 35-year reputation as a company that does business the right way and that truly values our customers.  We did not try to avoid the situation and we tri** our hardest to make [redacted] happy, and are still willing to work with him to make him a satisfi** customer, but unfortunately have been unable to do so at this point.  It is his lack of desire to work with Goodguys that has l** us to the one-sid** standstill that we are in now.
