Goodman Fabrications, LLC Reviews (3)

I entered into a contract with Brett Goodman of Goodman Fabrications LLC on 10/13/to repair a water feature and fabricate a new fireplace The contract amount was $11,and I paid Goodman 1/as a deposit on that date (as well as a progress payment for work he was doing on a front door) Total paid on 10/13/was $12, Over the course of the next two months he made some progress on the water feature (as well as our front door) and on 12/9/he asked me for another payment of $6,000...which I gave him Another two months go by and he completes the work on the water feature and door but makes very little progress on our fireplace On 2/17/one of his employees was at our home measuring a template for the fireplace As he was leaving, he told me Mr Goodman had instructed him to get another $8,from me I told him that the total amount I owed Goodman at that point was $6,and I gave him a check for that amount Thus, I had paid Goodman the total amount due on all work he was doing for me, including the fireplace which was not complete Over the next several months, I continuously called, texted and emailed Goodman about the status of my fireplace On two occasions, Goodman sent one or two employees to my home to take measurements and try out a template he had constructed On one occasion, Mr Goodman showed up to do some more measurements and to assure our gas line was working He apparently concluded from that visit (on May 1, 2017) the fire burner he had constructed (or, so he says) was too strong and he indicated we would need a "power vent" installed to remove the exhaust (at an additional price of $3,497) I informed him I was not going to pay that much additional for the fireplace and that he should stop work and return my money He responded by saying we could find another way to construct the fireplace so that it would be "decorative and run low." I asked him to send me sketches of his new plan...which he promised to do the next day (5/2/2017) Since that date, I have heard nothing further from MrGoodman despite numerous attempts to contact him by phone, text and email Finally, on 6/15/I sent him a letter asking for my deposit back He did not respond Accordingly, I engaged a lawyer to attempt a collection from Mr Goodman My lawyer sent him a demand letter (Certified Mail - Return Receipt Requested) Again, Mr Goodman ignored the request At this point we are considering our options but it is clear Mr Goodman has no intention of either completing the installation of our fireplace or returning our money I want other potential clients of Goodman Fabrications to know about his shoddy business practices and ethics

DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY OR ANY OF THEIR EMPLOYEESIt saddens me to write this review but I'm exhausted in dealing with Brett G***Like a few other posts, he has also scammed me out of my hard earned money for his on gain, only to have delay after delay in completing my door projectExcuse after excuse, and as of December, the company assets were supposedly purchased by *** ***I just spoke with one of their owners(Maria, who answers the phone as Kris) and they stated that they are not responsible for Brett's failures in completing my job; or the money he took from me without completing the job I paid him to doHe is actually employed by *** ***, so know that if you deal with *** ***, you are dealing with Brett G***Brett has claimed that *** *** will not let him complete my job, but then out of the blue has a plan to do the job only after I shared with them that they would be hearing from my lawyerMy gut tells me that both of these organizations are crooked and I have not faith or trust in themThey will both be reported to the Revdex.com as wellI am also seeking legal action if I am not refunded the $9k+ that Brett scammed me out ofReally disappointed because I liked the guyHe's done another job for me in the past as wellThis time around though, he took advantage of meAs well as others from what I can tell
