Goodman Guns Reviews (1)

See attached document. What Mr. [redacted] has neglected to tell you is that I informed him I needed PROOF that the said firearm was stolen. All I received from him was a copy of a receipt that the Oregon Police gave to the gun store stating the gun was being confiscated as a "stolen rifle." This is NOT...

proof of anything except that the police took a gun that was shipped and "said" it was stolen.I immediately contacted the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms (ATF). I am a federally licensed firearms dealer (FFL dealer), and these are the people to whom I answer. I explained the situation and they ran the serial number on the nationwide NCIC list of stolen firearms. It was not on this list. I am enclosing a copy of their letter to me stating this. Their off the record advice. to me. was: "If l were you, I wouldn't be in too much of a rush to make a refund on this one."I then contacted Mr. [redacted] and informed him that the ATF said they had no record of this firearm. being stolen. I told him I would be glad to send him a refund, but I needed proof the rifle was indeed stolen. I told him all he had to do was secure the original police report that was made when the rifle was supposedly stolen, stating the name of the person reporting the theft and showing the rifle BY EXACT SERIAL NUMBER. Mr. [redacted] suggested I contact the police etc. I responded that ATF said there was no record of the firearm being stolen and that I was NOT going to try to prove them wrong. The burden of proof was on him to show to me that the gun was stolen. I also wanted proof that the supposed "recovered'' rifle was returned to the person who reported it stolen.I never heard back from Mr. [redacted]. The last contact I had from him was an email from June 30, 2017. I have all my emails sent to him in which I explained the above information. I arn not trying to refuse a refund on a stolen firearm. I simply need proof it was indeed stolen. I have done everything in my power to put an end to this situation. The rest is up to Mr. [redacted], who now has seen fit to contact my local sheriff's office, Guns International (who I advertise with and to whom I had to explain the entire situation), again the ATF who the sheritl's office contacted to investigate, and now the Revdex.com! I will gladly refund Mr. [redacted], but .I absolutely will NOT refund him if he can't prove the firearm in question was stolen! Just because a police officer says an item is stolen and confiscates it is proof of nothing. I spoke again to ATf today and they are still investigating this matter. They said l should know something late.r in the week.I am more than a little annoyed that Mr. [redacted] did not present me with proof of his claim. Iclearly asked for this in writing and explained he would get an immediate refund from me as soon as I received said proof. He has not been completely truthful with any of the people he has contacted and has cost me a great deal of time and effort because of his unsubstantiated accusations.Feel free to call me at the above number.
