Goodwill of the Finger Lakes Reviews (%countItem)

Seems like a scam. Any legit goodwill website would be .org (non profit) not .com (commercial or for profit). It seems very fishy to me and I would not recommend using this site what so ever!

Shopgoodwill is running a scam on their shipping prices. A 5 pound item shows a shipping price of 25 pounds. Shopgoodwill states this is because of the dimensions. The item was a small lamp shade. I contacted fedx on this issue and the information I received makes this not true. I use fedx a lot as well and I believe this should be mail fraud. I found this same issue on several Items I have investigated. They get donated items and then bump shipping prices LOL maybe that's why the CEO makes a multi million dollar salary. I had received a item and called fedx with the shipping number and the price was little more than half of what I was charged when I contacted shopgoodwill I got a typical run around. Someone needs to check them out.

I just purchased an doll from goodwill and it had pictures of the doll. They did not have the doll laying down so it did not show the doll eyes worked correctly. When I got my doll one eye will not close. I contacted them and they said sorry no returns or refunds, you bought as is. I think they should let you know if something is not working so you base your purchase price on that. Very unhappy and will not purchase again after the items I have already bid on.

I won a bid on a ring 2 weeks ago. I immediately paid for the item. My account indicates a shipping label was printed, but the item was never picked up by UPS or shipped. The sale is considered closed. When contacting Shop Goodwill in Sacramento I was told they were having difficulties shipping and "Thank you for your patients (sic)". I have contacted them 3 times and received the same email message, and my request for help to receive the item was closed.....3 times. Basically they took my money but never sent my purchase, if there ever was an item to purchase..... This is theft. My next step will be to contact my credit card company to request a charge reversal. If I could give them an minus star rating I would.

I had won a bid on a Green Lantern statue. The item was shipped but never delivered. The Fedex driver must have either delivered it to the wrong house or lost the item and marked it as delivered. Fedex said the seller (shopgoodwill.com) was responsible, shopgoodwill.com said to contact Fedex and I was bounced back and forth between the two. After months of back and forth with shop goodwill support they refused to give me any sort of refund. Paid them for an item, I never received the item I paid for, and shopgoodwill.com kept my money. Some would consider this theft. Amazes me how a company is able to get away with this.

They have fake people bidding the price up and if you do win they charge you a fee and then they have overpriced shipping then they ask if you want to give them more of your money by asking you if you want to round up the final price. What a scam and it all given to they free

Shop goodwill routinely cancels bids after you win items. They then make attempts to remove all records of a transaction to give the appearance it never took place. Customers should keep all transaction records when dealing with them. There tactics could be deemed criminal!

I have purchased many items in the last several months, from a *** AV receiver to *** surround sound speakers, guitars and blu-rays, everything works and works well.
Just remember, they can legally sell you non-working items under the as-is statement on each product page. whth that in mind, here are a few tips:
1. Buying "as-is" "tested to power on" "untested/good condition" items is always a gamble.
2. You win some and you lose some.
3. Don't spend more than you are willing to lose and shop carefully!
4. If an auction goes higher that what you want to spend, let it go, ***.
5. Another, possibly better item will come along if you watch and wait.
