Complaint[redacted] charged me for a regulator for my front and rear passenger window that I never received. I didn't find out I was ripped off until the glue, ziptie and screw stop holding the window and it dropped back down in the door and I had to have it replaced AGAIN!!!! I was charged over 400.00 dollars each time. I would NOT recommend the guy to anybody because I thought I was getting great service with a smile until I open my door to find old parts rigged together NOTHING NEW that I had purchased. On top of the disappointing service he couldn't tell me where he purchased the parts and had no part numbers to show on the receipt.Product_Or_Service: RegulatorDesired SettlementI would like my money returned because I'm out of 845.54 dollars with Goodwin AutomotiveBusiness Response Ms.[redacted]'s parts were replaced as she was charged accordingly,hence the fact she came in on 2 different occasions with windows inoperable and when she picked up her vehicle the windows worked properly.If she was having problems with any work performed by our repair shop,I could have had her parts warrantied and sent sent to whomever was working on her car,parts go bad ,that is the reason we offer warranty on parts,we do not offer warranty on labor,however 95% of the time I will replace the parts for free if the part is still covered under warranty.If Ms.[redacted] can produce receipts where she had to replace any part that I installed,and mail/ship the parts bad parts that I replaced I will refund her money for the parts only,(I need parts back to get money back as well)I can not be held liable for labor considering I don't warranty labor.We did not rip Ms.[redacted] off,and I am truly sorry for any hassle she has had.The R/R window plastic nut that holds the window to the regulator was glued back into place and she was notified,she was also supposed to return so we could remove the zip tie after glue dried,she never returned,and double check our work after said glue dried,I should have notated her receipt,but I did not.Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)I was notified not to let the window down for at least 24 hours to let said "GLUE" dry BUT I was never told to return for any removal of a zip tie that I NEVER knew was there in the first place!!!! I only found out about the old parts and rigged attempt to temporarily fix my windows AFTER the window dropped back down into the door and I had to get it fixed AGAIN!!! if I knew I was getting old parts I would have happily replied "NO THANKS" I'll just get it serviced at [redacted] shoe [redacted] of Memphis which is where I had been going already. I choose to try a local service of my hometown because I was in the process of moving and I did not want to make the long drive to Memphis; BUT I should've and from now on I will notdeal with shady tree mechanics who cannot produce numbers and old parts to ensure that they were produed for the price and service in which I was charged. I will also advise my friends and family to do research of this company and others before they spend a dime.
