The patient placed a single phone call to our office on April 24th, stating that they had received the explanation of benefits and it appeared they overpaid by $I informed the patient that I had also received the payment that day and he was correct that the estimate was $offI asked the
patient if he would like a credit on his account or if he would prefer a refund, he requested a refundI informed the patient that I would give the doctor the request and that he should receive a refund by check usually within a few weeksThe patient called May 8, requesting follow upI informed that the doctor was in surgery with a patient at the moment, but I would follow up with him (in regards to issue date for refund) when available and give a call back by end of dayPatient called back that afternoon asking againDr gave authorization to credit the card used as our checks were set to run at the end of week.
