Response: Mr *** brought his Hyundai Sonata into our shop on 4/14/with the complaint that his air conditioning wasn't working, he had told us that he had been trying himself to charge the systemWe charged his system with refrigerant and installed a fluorescent dye that would identify
refrigerant leaks as refrigerant leaked out and leaks would be able to be seen with a fluorescent lightAfter we charged system refrigerant and dye started POURING out from a cut seal on the expansion valve, which is usually from being incorrectly installedWe called him to inform him of what we found and that it definitely had other leaks but had to fix the biggest leak firstWe have never told any customer that there is no possibility that there are no other leaks , how could we possibly know that? He brought car back on 4/and we found compressor had started leakingThe car wouldn't hold refrigerant for more that 2-minutes when he brought it to us on the 14thIt took 2-days for compressor to show it was leakingWe showed him his cut seal, which I still haveUltimately you cant find a small leak when you have a huge one, for example: how would you know you had a tiny pin hole in a garden hose if water is pouring out the end of hose? You wouldn't until you crimped of the end of hoseMr *** seamed he only heard what he wanted to hearSent on: 4/21/11:07:AM
