Goose Contractors

Con artis never there on time neve does what the contract says lies all the time and workmanship is amiture at best does not handle money well and does not meet deadlines I would never hire him again.

I have received reasonably priced home repair project quotes from *** from Goose Contractors in the past. Recently I had a need to install a previously purchased stove range hood ($440 from *** which I purchased separately) in my kitchen. I asked several times for a project quote in advance from ***, however, due to a variety of circumstances, I was unable to get a quote. He would not provide an estimated cost even after providing photos of the kitchen ceiling.

Since I trusted ***, I was in a position where I felt that I needed to move forward with hiring him to install the stove range expecting to be charged a fair and reasonable price. This has turned out to be a mistake on my part as I didn't realize the character of this individual.

*** charged $760 for which he brought two men on site to do a usual stove range hood installation up through the attic and venting the range outside of the house. It was a 2 hour project, if that.

I realize this is my problem because I trusted someone that I should not have. Further, I paid the price, however, I asked *** why he was charging $760 when I received another vendor quote for $400. I hired *** because I trusted him to do the right thing.

I am single woman living alone in a house condo in ***. I realize there are contractors that view the town I live in as 'people with deep pockets', however, not everyone in *** is 'rich'.

*** took advantage of me this time, but he obviously is unaware about calculating the cost to acquire a new customer or the lifetime value of a customer. This speaks to a lack of business acumen on his part. *** took advantage of me once but it will not happen again.
