We were originally contacted by the DRaround month ago and told us that he had had a fire in the makeup air unitI was out of town working until that friday, and said I would try and get down to look at the unit that saturday, which I didI was there and took pictures of the unit and then
contacted him on the way home from his barHe said if I called him when I was on my way there he would try and meet me, which he never did I had called captive aire the following monday and got a price on a new unit, which I had told him the priceAt that time he had told me that he expected us to pay for the whole thing, cleaning and allI informed him that the box that had started on fire in the unit was the one that we were looking for from the original install, and that there was no way that had been sitting in there for over years without starting on fire, and that I thought someone had put in in there long after the factWe completed the install, electricians did there part, plumbers did there partAll of us had to open that unit, and at know time did anyone find the box that was suppose to be shipped in the unitI said I would be willing to come down on a weekend and help if all the other people that had worked on the project would be willing to do the same, which to that he did not think anyone would do I then told him I would be turning it into our insurance company to take care of, stating "thats why we have insurance"This was all over a week or so, which within that week he called my cell phone at least times and many more calls came into the main office line One voice mail that he left me stated that he was not happy with me not calling him back everytimeI informed him that I was always at work doing other clients jobs, and since we charged by the hour, I didnt feel it fair to them to be on my phone all the time with him explaining that nothing has changed since the last time I talked to him.Bottom line is that our insurance has it, and has been working with him and his adjuster to take care of the problemAt no time did we ever ignore him or shrug our responsiblity to this issue We have been in business for over years and have installed more than jobs like this, with no complaints
