equipment accepts all types of coin/bills and credit cards. But the machine does not give change when someone inserts bills.
The equipment clearly states: No Change Given
No Self Serve Car Wash in the industry offers change for bills at the meter box.
Green Tree does have a change machine that changes larger bills into coin.
This compliant is the 1st of its kind. Most of Green Tree's customers read the instructions that are clearly posted.
The customer was provided the exact correct of time/soap and equipment for the amount of money she deposited. The customer stopped using the equipment after a few minutes and another customer used the remaining time that she purchased.
The car wash fulfilled its obligation.
The customer telephoned my manager on the telephone and used foul language and threaten to "sue".
My manager offered the customer Tokens for future washes, but this customer declined due to being from out of town.
My manager asked the customer to email her contact information and we would address the situation.
The manager followed policy and committed to investigate the situation.
The customer would not accept responsibility and stated that "everyone keeps taking advantage of her". The customer continued to yell and cuss at the manager.
The customer's behavior was deplorable.
Despite the customer rude behavior, she did mail a letter requesting a refund.
Green Tree Car Wash immediately sent her a check in the amount of $17 as a refund. Even though the car wash provided the goods/services as promised, a refund was issued.
A review of our signage was conducted and the instructions are clear and in plain sight.
