We were dispatched to repair a furnace at the home. Our service man noticed the main flame-roll out safety device was disconnected. In addition, it was tripped, which would shut the furnace off. This device is designed for safety. This is a serious problem that is not solved by...

disconnecting the switch. The switch is in place to prevent flames from coming out of the furnace , to prevent a fire.
The wires on the flame shield (where the flame roll out is located) were starting to stick to the flame shield because they melted.
The problem with this furnace was a bad igniter.
We are not authorized to repair a furnace that is crack in the heat exchanger. We notified the customer the heat exchanger was cracked and the safety switch was disconnected. We also explained this condition could produce C.O. in the home. We tested C.O. at that time and found none.
We take this matter seriously and treat all our customers like family.
The owner of our company would like to rectify the complaint as soon as possible which will include inspection of this furnace (free of charge) and once confirming there is no danger, will happily refund the $25.00 service fee.
