I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that the response would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below
I have never received a phone call or email from Brothers’ Floor Covering since the owner and his son came to inspect the carpeting that was installed to address the issues I had with their installers’ mistakes and breaking of my screen door back in MarchBoth the owner and his son came to look at the mistakes made in the installation which I felt needed to be addressedThey agreed with the issues I pointed out with a transition strip, an area that was loose, the missing piece of carpet, and two missing transition stripsThe owner told me that these areas would be correctedThe owner said that a “new” screen door for patio would be installed rather than repairing the door his installer had brokenHe measured the door not from the existing door, but from the casing which would hold the door.When I originally picked out the carpet which was installed I also picked out sheet vinyl for my kitchen which was including in the price of the carpet I was quotedAfter making a 50% deposit, I was told that there had been an error in my estimate and that the carpeting was going to be an additional $300, the price of the sheet vinyl and its installationWhen the owner and his son came, the owner measured the kitchen and entry wayThe product I had wanted was no only available and the new estimate with a different product was more than $was emailed to me within a couple daysI explained in a voice mail, email, and phone call to the son that I was not going to proceed with my kitchen flooring at this timeI asked when I would get the screen door and the mistakes correctedI was told I would be called back to set up an appointment, that was months agoI have no missing phone calls in that time from Brothers’ Floor Covering and have not received any emails to address these problemsIf the son has been calling as his father claimed, he has not been calling my number and could be leaving messages at the wrong number he has been dialingHe does have my email and did not respond to me by email until after I filed a complaint with the Revdex.com of Indianapolis saying that he needed to know my schedule to install the door, but did not address the carpet issuesI replied as to which days and times I would be home which I never got a replyThe following week I got an email and wastold “if it stopped raining they would come to replace my screen door ” which it did and no one came that day.On Friday, July after p.mBrother’s Floor Covering sent a worker who I had never met with a “new” screen doorThe replacement was more than 3/inches too tallThe worker did not have a tape measure which I provided himHe called his “boss” at Brothers’ and told him, “ Yes, she is homeI do not know why she did not answer her phone...” I never got a phone call from Brothers’ Floor Covering that day and had no missed calls or emailsOn July 8th, the worker used my tape measure again to measure the casing not the actual doorI suggested that he measure the door that I still had that was broken and he said that he “did not need to see that door.” I then suggested that the identical door on the other patio door be removed and measured; he told me that he “was not going to measure that door either“ He said he “was going to the hardware store and would be right back if they had the doorIf not, I will be back on Monday”, the 11thBefore he left, I asked when my carpet issues would be addressed and he said he was “only the screen door repair man” to which I asked that he ask his boss since he was apparently still on the phone citing the new measurement that he had for the screen door and that he was going to go to the hardware store less than a mile from my homeI have not seen that repair man, a replacement door, nor have I gotten a phone call or email from anyone at Brothers’When I tried to call on July 8th it was “after hours” and my call was not answeredSeventeen days later, I still do not have a screen door nor do I have an appointment to fix my carpetingI should not have to wait 1/months to have these issues addressedThis is not professionalism or good businesspractice

This is Andrew with Brothers Floor Covering responding to a Revdex.com complaintThe complaint number is ***This complaint states that we have not called or emailed the client about getting the repaired handledI have sent the client multiple emails trying to get this scheduled and phone calls over the course of this jobThe screen door we don’t need in the home, but for the repair we need access to the homeOn multiple occasions we have not been able to get there due to her having doctor’s appointments, doesn’t feel well, work, and on and onThat is how the job have been delayed, we have the material and the crew to do the workI have been in touch with her today thru email about scheduling and she can only do it certain times of the day and not a big enough window for our guys to properly do the workOur guys start jobs in the morning, it’s hard to work around a personal schedule of someone that wants work done that is never home to have it completed due to personal issues Our main focus is to please every customer and give them what they expectWhich has been done in this case other than the repairTo get the repair done, the customer needs to give us the day to be there and get this finishedWe are ready to please the customer, but we have to have access to a home to be allowed in to do the workI hope this is enough explanation for the complaintI’ve spent numerous hours on the phone and in the showroom with this client meeting her budget, feeding her dog, taking sample out of the showroom because she was unable to get out of her vehicle, and even having installers in her house where there was pet feces left they had in the workspaceWe’ve done a lot for this lady and aren’t trying to put her job off, we just need a customer approved day to do thisI know she has a difficult schedule, but if you want the work done you have to be home to have it doneThis is my first time having to respond to one of these complaints so I hope this is the explanation you needIf not please let me know, but we have the material and I was in contact with her today about scheduling and she doesn’t have any openings do to appointmentsSo as of now I told her to assure my installers a day to complete her requestIf additional information is needed please let me know, such as calls and emails Thanks, Andrew Andrew H*** Sales Representative Brothers Floor Covering Office: 317-251-Cell: ***
