Gorman & Company

On the 9th of January my sister looked at a house for me at ***, a property of Milwaukee scattered sites of Gorman and Company. I turned in the application and $60.00 fee, for three adults background check.
I contacted *** on January 18, 2019 and he provided me a fax number to send my income verification and he would contact the other adults for their employment verification, he never contacted them. When he received all the verification on January 29, 2019, he advised me that we were over-qualified for the house, after telling me the house was ours. In the meantime, I had purchased a plane ticket for my nephew to come to Columbia, SC to drive my Uhaul truck to Milwaukee.Then, on January 31, 2019 *** called and said I was approved for the house.
When I arrived on February 1, 2019,I paid the rent and security deposited and was taken to a house at ***. Mr. stated that he thought he told me that we were approved for this house instead. Since it was a Friday, and he didn't have his receipt book, he said he would give it to me on Monday the 4th. We tried to move some furniture in the house but was unable to, so it sat on the Uhaul over the weekend. On Monday the 4th, I went to the office to advise Mr. that I would not be taking the house because it was too small and I wanted my money back. He said he had sent it in on Friday and he would have to cut a check for me. The check was coming from Madison, Wisconsin, I am still waiting to receive it.
On February 11, 2019, I got copies showing the money orders had been cashed on February 4, 2019. Milwaukee scattered sites owe me $1600.00. I have no house, my furniture is in storage, and I'm staying with family.

I recently filed for a place through *** I completed the application packet along with the 20 fee for processing. I was informed by one of their workers I should get a answer in 3 to 5 business days. However it has been over 3 weeks now. Every time I call theyre giving me the run around and are being extremely unprofessional. I'm more than qualified and I'm not sure as to why they are not responded I have left *** (who I was told by *** that is in charge or application processing) a few messages he's always never in or on the phone with someone else. Im always told to call back tomorrow or later that day. I know people can be busy but im a single mother and I didn't give them my money for fun, therapy they can do is take the time to reach out and tell me something.
