August 29, Gorman Health Group, LLC (Gorman) received your letter dated August 20, regarding a complaint the Revdex.com (Revdex.com) received from a consumer relating to a request for a refundThe Revdex.com assigned the compliant an ID of ***Gorman takes these matters seriously and has researched the allegationsGorman confirmed the consumer was enrolled in our Sales Sentinel tm training and certification program for the benefit enrollment yearHealth Insurance sales agents must go through a certification process each year in order to sell health insuranceEach health insurance carrier determines which trainings they will accept, Gorman's core training and certification, provided through Sales Sentinel tm is one Such training and is delivered oniineNo training is accepted by all insurance carriers, nor does Gorman state its training is accepted by all insurance carriersIn an effort to insure sales agents verify that the Sales Training offered via Sales Sentines tm is accepted by the insurance carrier they sell on behalf of, we include the following language, which must be attested to prior to taking the online courseBy checking this box, understand it is recommended that I verify with any Health Plan(s) I may sell on behalf of during the season to ensure the Medicare Basics, Medicare Advantage & Part D Certification will satisfy the organizations specific training and certification requirementsfurther understand that no refunds will be awarded once any training courses beyond the online payment transaction have been completed either partially or fully.By checking this box, I attest that I have read and understand all of the above including, but not limited to, the requirements for completing this programIn this instance, the consumer attested to the above referenced language for the benefit year training, Normally refunds would not be issued to a person who completed the trainings after attesting to the above referenced language unless there were other circumstances surrounding the requestHowever, upon further research we confirmed there was a miscommunication from the initial customer service agent who spoke with the consumerWe are very apologetic to the consumer for any inconvenience this miscommunication may have causedDue to this miscommunication we will be issuing the consumer a refundFurther, we have taken steps to reeducate our call center staff so that this type of mistake does not occur in the future.Regards,Charlie F
