Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:
I am not certain as to the response from Gorsegner to my previous note. I am willing to negotiate an acceptable resolution to this issue, however, the end result desired is a level floor. If Gorsegner would please forward information from the National Wood Floor Association or building code that determines acceptable tolerances within square footage, that would be helpful.I am working with my condo association to determine any structural damage in the crawl space.
Regards,

At the time of the estimate [redacted] met with...
[redacted] Gorsegner. [redacted] was told (and it is in writing on our contracts) that the customer is responsible for the preparation of the subfloor. We removed the flooring, checked for moisture and it meet the NWFA standards, we left the materials to acclimate and installed the floor (5) days later. We re screwed the subfloor prior to installation.
[redacted] called 2 months after the flooring was completed to say she had some
issues. [redacted] meet with her at the home. At that time [redacted] Offered to remove a 3x3 area of the floor and shim it on either side to make the area that is sloped more level, reinstall, sand and finish the repair at no cost to [redacted] wanted Gorsegner Brothers to remove the flooring and the plywood and grind down the joist underneath. [redacted] said we would not do that as it could Weaken 'the joist and create a larger problem. [redacted] chose not to do the repair that [redacted] suggested.
[redacted] than suggested to [redacted] in another conversation that she get an NWFA inspection to see if the level issue meets NWFA standards. If it did not meet NWFA standards we would remove the flooring and fix the joist problem (at a charge) and reinstall the flooring.
These are the solutions that were presented to [redacted] at this time. It would be up to her to decide which option she would prefer to do.
Gorsegner Brothers Hardwood Flooring
Review: Crawlspace under condo flooded with broken hot water pipe. all flooring needed to be replaced. Gorsegner was aware of possible problems with mold/delaminated subfloor and/or swelled joists affected by prolonged water exposure. Gorsegner installed new hardwood over subfloor/joists that had been compromised, without notifying me of possible issues. I now have floor that is sloped in bathroom and bedroom areas. I have contacted Gorsegner multiple times, they have failed to respond with acceptable solution.Desired Settlement: I want to areas that are sloped to be taken up and repaired correctly.
