"GoSouthernMD.com" clearly advertised the "Invacare Bariatric Quad Cane-Small Base" as "$for 2," "Case Qty: 2" and "Quantity: canes per carton," on its attendant two webpages describing the product, on Sunday August 24, I subsequently ordered the canes that day, only to realize too late to cancel, that the "Order Confirmation" e-mail sent to me by them listed only ONE cane shipped to me for the $price In addition, the "Product Weight Capacity" of this cane is listed under the "Features" and "Specifications" categories on the site's Product Description webpage as "lbs." The lone identical Invacare Bariatric Quad Cane-Small Base delivered to my home today, Saturday August 30, 2014, plainly lists the cane's "Product Weight Capacity" at "lbs." In the end, then, I paid $70.92, including a $"Ground/Freight" shipping charge, for only one, not two, as advertised, of these misrepresented canes "Bait-and-switch" anybody? I immediately requested a telephone contact from one of their Customer Service Representatives, but, as it's a holiday weekend, I don't expect to hear from them for at least a few days, if at all Fortunately, I took the precaution of e-mailing the website's Product Description page to myself so that I will possess "proof-positive" of their outrageously blatant attempt to defraud their customers in this particular instance After reading the previous reviewer's comments, however, I sadly can't say that I anticipate a positive resolution to my issue with this company A great-big fat "Caveat Emptor," vis-à-vis "GoSouthernMD.com," then, shoppers!
I am writing to amend a previous negative review which I had posted here on August 30, 2014, regarding my ordering experience with "GoSouthernMD.com." A gentleman representing the company, named "Brian Lawrence," contacted me, via e-mail, in order to address the complaint that I had filed directly with "GoSouthern" concerning the problems that I had encountered with my recent on-line "Invacare Small-Base Quad Cane" orderHe never denied in his e-mail to me that the company had advertised two, not one, of the canes for $on the company's website, but, instead, proffered some ridiculous "jibber-jabber" about the manufacturer, "Medline," having recently changed the weight capacity specification of the cane from down to poundsHe liedNot only was the number of canes offered and the weight capacity specification of this particular cane incorrectly advertised on the website, but the name of the manufacturer, "Invacare," as wellThe lone cane which was delivered to my home was labeled "Medline," not "Invacare." It has always been advertised on the "Medline" website as having a weight capacity specification of 500, not 700, poundsIn the end, however, and in spite of his protestation against my "bait-and-switch" accusation, Brian Lawrence credited my account, on September 4, 2014, the full $that I was originally charged for the orderWould I order from "GoSouthernMD.com" again, then? What do YOU think?

I am the owner of GoSouthernmd.com and I personally spoke to the customer. Our sales representative also gave the customer the correct information. We both informed him that a pulse dose oxygen concentrator is not recommended to use for night time sleeping. The
customer insisted that he researched it on his own and was convinced the machine would work for him. He wanted a small portable machine that he could use for travel.
I took the added step of asking him to send me an email that he understood exactly what we had told him and that he takes full responsibility for his decision. A copy of that email is attached as a pdf here. I can forward the email to the Revdex.com as well. We have been providing service for many years and have an excellent Revdex.com rating. We would not jeopardize it over a one time rental. The customer insisted it would work. The reason I asked him to send me the email is because we had a very good idea that it would not work for his night time needs, as we informed him twice
The customer now wants a refund after realizing he was wrong and we were right. However, we lost the opportunity to rent that machine to another customer. Our rental terms and conditions are published on our website and in this case the customer was also verbally made aware that he would not be refunded if it didn't work since he was advised properly. I have copied the relevant part of our Terms and Conditions below. When a customer rents a product through our website, as this customer did, they click on the acceptance of our terms and conditions.
To reiterate, we lost any opportunity to rent the machine to another customer. We informed the customer of the issues. The customer insisted on the rental and even sent me the attached email taking all responsibility. We ask that the Revdex.com close this complaint in our favor.

I called and spoke to a gentleman that was so rude from the moment he said hello. I was calling to ask ONE QUESTION about the lift chair. I have already called several other places but I was doing some shopping around to compare prices. I asked the gentleman I f the chair came in cloth or leather and he immediately snapped and said if you are wanting to know colors and styles and what features the chair comes with then this place is not for you. He went on to say we have over 100 store locations and I don't know what they carry. I then politely told the gentleman I think you misunderstood my question sir I just want to know if the chair is cloth or leather. he then responded rudely to me saying that they only carry ONE style and that he doesn't know what I will get so I then responded by saying you only have ONE style and you cant tell me if it leather or cloth do you rent out both types and then he said go somewhere else and hung up the phone. Very rude and unhelpful I would never recommend anyone to this place. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!!

It wasn't and after several more emails and phone calls it still was NEVER taken care of. My mother does NOT carry a balance on her card and the $548 was going to be due while we were in Germany. She called on September 29th and talked with the head guy [redacted] - he said it would be credited back by October 3rd. Well, today is October 20th and it still wasn't taken care of and now $10 in interest has been charged. I called 3 times today to get it taken care of FINALLY.
