Review: I dropped my ring off in july to have the top diamond replaced because the one I had got chipped and fell out. I went to pick it up on 8-12-13. I noticed that a smaller diamond then the one I had was put in my ring.I asked for my old diamond back and [redacted] told me that he sold it. I asked him why would he do that without my consent? I told him that I wanted it back. he said he couldnt find it. I told him to take the diamond they put in my ring out and give me my money back. he only gave me back $150 out of the $220 that I gave him.I was charged $70 for labor and my old diamond was not returned.I want my old diamond back and a full refund.Desired Settlement: I was charged $220 for a diamond and labor.I only got back $150 of that after having them take that diamond that they put in it out. I want the remaining balance of $70 plus my diamond that was initially in my ring returned.

THE CUSTOMER BROUGHT IN HER RING THAT HAD ONE LARGE DIAMOND AND MANY SMALL STONES. THE LARGER

WAS NOT CHIPPED BUT BROKEN IN HALF WITH ONLY 1/2 REMAINING. IT HAD LITTLE OR NO VALUE. WE KEPT IT

ONLY TO ESTIMATE THE SIZE OF THE STONE. LIKE SNOWFLAKES NO TWO DIAMONDS ARE ALIKE. THEY ARE

PEASURED BY WEIGHT. EVERY STONE IS CUT DIFFERENT, SO WHILE THEY CAN BE THE SAME WEIGHT THEY WILL

BE THINNER, LONGER OR DEEPER. SO LOOKING AT A STONE IS NOT AWAY TO DETERMNE IT'S WEIGHT. OUR

STONE FIT INTO THE RING AS WAS PROBABLY A LITTLE LARGER THEN THE ORIGINAL. THE LABOR WAS

PREFORMED NOT ONLY ON THE CENTER STONE BUT ALSO IN TIGHTENING MANY OF THE SMALLER STONES.

when I went into his shop I only asked for my top diamond to be replaced.I did not ask for him to tighten up any of the other stones. [redacted] did what he wanted to do to my ring and wanted to charge me for it.I did not authorize for him to tighten up any stones and I did not authorize for him to get rid of my diamond.he told me that he sold my diamond to his jeweler for $10 when he called his jeweler - the Jeweler said that he did not have my diamond so I never got my Diamond back.[redacted] told me he didn't know where my Diamond was and He told me it wasn't worth nothing any way it doesn't matter what he think it was worth I wanted it back
