Review: On September *, 2014 I authorized a debit card charge of $200 to receive tutorial services from Got Nerds, Inc. on Sunday, September *, 2014 and Monday, September *, 2014. The primary contact person, [redacted], took my debit card information over the phone and scheduled a tutor to work with me on the days stated above. The appointed tutor did not show up on the first day and, made contradictory excuses as to why he could not honor the agreement. I immediately tried to reach [redacted] at the [redacted] office. The person who answered the phone was rude and told me that [redacted] was out of town. I immediately emailed [redacted] and left a phone message with him on another number. I told him what happened and requested a full refund. In subsequent phone conversations and email communications with [redacted], he stated .that he would issue a full refund. [redacted] made excuses for not expediting a refund (i.e. he needed to contact his credit card merchant because he had never had to issue a card refund and did not know how to do so). He also promised to mail me a check, but I still have not received my refund.Desired Settlement: [redacted] will accept responsibility for his company, honor his word, and issue me a full refund of $200 as promised. If he is unable to issue me a debit card refund, he will mail me a check for $200. The check will clear after I deposit it.

Review: I used Got Nerds because I was friendly with the [redacted]. Well that friendship has long ended. I went to their office in [redacted] and went over all of the details of my website. I went home and sent them art needed for my website. I was very clear in my need to have my website up and running within a week. I ended up speaking with the programmer and he had my splash page up and running, not with any of my art or most of the content I wanted, but within 10 minutes. He was rude and stated things like "really, well then you'd better be paying me by the hour". He became upset with me when he sent me a text telling me to view my website and I told him that none of my art was used and it was incorrect. He changed it and I never heard from him again. I reached out to the coordinator to understand what I needed to do to get this website up and running and he told me that I had given them two weeks. Absolutely incorrect. It was one week. This was Monday morning when we had the conversation. I then spoke to [redacted], sent over a whole bunch of art and didn't hear or see any changes in my website and my password was changed without my consent or my being made aware of the change. Wednesday morning I reached out to find out where we were, if my art was ok and Wednesday nite I called [redacted] and was nothing but belittled. At this point I am looking to have my website up and running by that Monday and nothing was done at all. I had given them $650 and wasn't even entitled to a timely phone call or any sort of customer service. I told [redacted] I would build the website on my own. I have called him many many times only to be told i'll call you back, i'm at the doctors, i'm at the gym, you call me back. He has never given me a contract which was promised nor even a bill. He has kept my money, all of it. Their website states a money back guarantee and their commitment to customer service, none of which were given to me. Very sad and unfortunate. Being a business [redacted], you have to deal with difficult customers. I did not find myself difficult at all and tried to work through any difficulties but was treated like a bother and received nothing but a marginal splash page for $650.Desired Settlement: I would request a full refund of my money.

Response:

I write this message to protect the reputation of my company which is Got Nerds. My name is [redacted] I do in fact remember [redacted] as a customer looking for an E commerce website to sell her boxes of food to the courts. That being said we have agreements in writing which I will be happy to provide that state the price of creating her site would be $1,300.00. Got nerds requires a 50% deposit upfront before any work is performed to protect our labor costs. That being said yes we did in fact receive a payment from [redacted] for $650.00 to start her E Commerce website. We have documented correspondence from our office with [redacted] requesting content and photos of her items to be placed on our site. [redacted] repeatedly kept sending us the same snap shots of a website named [redacted]. We told [redacted] that we can just use their photos as that's stealing another person artwork and at got nerds we do NOT perform such business practices. That being said we created a beautiful landing page for [redacted] because she urged us to do so under a short time frame, she requested us to perform such duties on the weekend when we are not opened. To help accommodate her needs we completed what she asked in that time frame. As time went on we kept requesting the additional content needed to move forward to complete the site and [redacted] kept sending the same photos over and over again from the [redacted] website. We spent countless hours and numerous telephone conversations along with several face to face meetings in our office in brooklyn with [redacted] explaining everything we needed to move forward on her site, she failed to provide us with the proper information to complete the job. As time went on we received threatening calls and text messages from [redacted]. After all this was when we decided to refund half of her deposit money of $325.00 which was based off the worked performed. Got n erds can provide any documentation needed to satisfy any questions anyone may have along with a copy of the check that was issued on 4/**/2014 of $325.00. Thank you for your time and consideration on this matter. We apologize for any inconvenience that this may have caused for the Revdex.com.
