Gotay Associates

Review: We rented the apartment for Gotay Associates LLC from January 11th to July 31, 2014. We gave the landlord a security deposit of $1650 at the beginning of the lease. The landlord gave us back $626.17. [redacted] Gotay claimed that we smoked in the apartment and he had to hire a company to remove smoke smell from the apartment which costed $500 along with other additional fees. I also did not receive the security deposit back from until September 6th and the move out date was August 1st. The lease says that the security deposit will be returned within 15 days. I have asked for receipts of proof that the company came and removed smoke from the apartment and there is no proof. I also spoke to the current tenants and they said that the apartment did not smell like smoke and there was not a company that came to remove the smell.Desired Settlement: $1023.83 in full
