We didn't cancelled in the past as we normally require customers to expressly request cancellation. We value the business you maintained with us previously, because of that, we are issuing a good faith credit back to you in the amount of $28.99 USD. Whenever our customers request their account to be...

closed we always require a cancellation letter to be signed. The account that you had with us remained opened as we never received such written request. Simply stop processing will not automatically cancel an account. While an account is open, it is still subject to be charged with all applicable fees to keep service running. On section number 3 of PayAnywhere User agreement [redacted] it is stated that “You agree that if the account is not used to process a transaction for twelve (12) months, it will be considered inactive and will be subject to an inactivity fee of $3.99 USD beginning the 13th month of inactivity, and each month following, until processing resumes.” On page 1 of your PayAnywhere Application /Agreement, under the applicable fees section, you can see that a fee for $25 USD Non-Sufficient Funds (NSF) is stated. Section 5 of same document states that merchants agree not to, directly or indirectly, prevent, block or otherwise preclude any debit by Global Direct or Member to Merchant's account which is permitted on the merchant agreement. As the registered bank account on your merchant account was closed, the applicable inactivity fee was rejected, automatically generating the NSF fee. Since we were unable to collect the fees applicable by agreement from your bank account, the account proceeded to be closed as Collections. This is a common practice across the industry.
